Ayu's promo this year actually wasn't small, I mean 7 releases - that isn't a small number. But they were mostly fluff releases (extending an already released track for a single, two remix albums, a best album etc), so she lacked in new material, but certainly not material in general. The highest profit generator this year had to have been Namie; she had the least amount of investment from Avex with the highest return - thats how you measure profit.

Yeah but that's the cost of producing the product itself. Stuff like advertisements, tissue packets, putting up posters everywhere seems to have been toned down, that's why i'm guessing they managed to save some costs here and there. I'm surprised also that namie was not more profitable than ayu, but at least that's what the figures tell us. I'm guessing A Complete was a whopper profit generator but so was Best Fiction... It's weird.

Exile just pawned everybody... It's incredible. I'm not interested in them also but i've never given their music a shot so i don't know how good they are.

That's what I've been saying though - Namie was the highest profit generator for Avex (other than Exile), not Ayu. This list does not show profit.
