The chorus seems to me to refer to how hard it is to admit to yourself that you have to actually work to improve yourself, rather than just analyzing things. "It's my turn next" means that SHE'S going to be the one controlling her life, rather than letting her past do it.

The "end of an era" simultaneously refers to the switchover to the new millennium AND the end the time in Ayu's life when she dwelled upon her past rather than looking towards the future.

This is what I'm reading into it anyway, and anyone interpreting lyrics is going to bring their own life story into it a little.
