okay, ill upp it on SB then...

^ I think youll like the album when listening to it full, it doesnt have standing out songs IMO, but is amazing as total because to me it keeps up a really high quality through the complete album(with YOU being a little standing out, I absolutely LOVE hard, a little desperate ballads)

you really think? something about this album as a complete is special for me...I can't explain what, only thing that would come to mind is the amazing guitarwork in most songs, all the band got SO much better from their previous albums, finally songs that have interesting instrumentals(aside Remember, Ichirin no Hana, Enrai, TOXIC and a FEW more all their instrumentals bored me), I love the solos so much in these new songs...but most of HALCAs lines are pretty boring, they wrote bad melodys for her

Yeah, her melodies are bad, and she sounds bored singing them. I dunno, it sorta loses something for me. I mean, it's alright, it's just... not living up to the expectations I have of this band. I dunno, maybe it has to grow on me, but it's all just really... bland to me

yeah, she really does sound bored sometimes...but I think part of the reason for that is the effects she has on her voice for some songs, it makes it sound emotionless, and that she simply is not supposed to be in the spotlight, she has to sound a little bored to make the rest of the song be like...more interesting
but true, she could put more effort in it. especially in pain i thought it was pretty bad

also the album kind of lacks variety...most songs are pretty similar, no problem for me, I LOVE that style, but thats probably one for others especially the fans who love their poppy songs(which I hate to death^^)

besides for XYZ and good bye, i love....

swamp man (i know it's an instrumental, but i like it)
fly me to the other moon (yuuske's voice )
7.2
hate
living
you (nice ballad, but nothing beats "tadorisuku basho" for me)

i know i left out "pain" but i don't really remember that song so much, lol. i'll have to listen to it again, but overall, it's a good album! nothing amazing, i think, but i should re-listen to ROCK PIT just to compare. but really, it's a good album. nothing bad IMO. i always like their rock style, but maybe it could be a bit different? but i still like the album, honestly.

Besides XYZ, there really isn't a song that grabs you at first listen but the songs I do like, I find myself playing over again. No this doesn't top ROCK PIT (or Gouon) for me but I expected that. It's like some unwritten law that the album after a ****ing awesome album usually isn't going to be better. I do like swamp man, can't say me liking 7 out of 10 songs is bad. Kinks are there but the basic set-up to Haikara's new sound is solid overall.

fly me to the other moon
pain
you
7.2
swamp man
XYZ
good bye

Funny how the three songs I don't care for are the same ones I think the Jungle Life reviewer didn't care for either

Live Report
Songs: XYZ, good bye, living, several other songs from swamp man, PRIDE, OVER, Enrai, NOTICE, G∞VER, ROSIER, Ichirin no Hana, STYLE *not in order*

Goods: towels and T-shirts in black and white, a wristband in black and blue, and a sticker.

MC: mACKAz and Haruka talked about cuticles, Kazuto told a scary story (full of lies), and afterwards, SASSY, MEG, and Haruka were the only ones signing anything.

Attendance: 200 or less

^ pretty much a best-of of their old songs, nice list(ROSIER and STYLE were missing in LBL:TG and I hated that xD)

and 200 or less? expected, in the last years, like in LIVE BEE LOUD:4 and San, they always had 200-400 people in the audience, the clubs they played in are simply small

BTW:
I stopped my haikara download thread project, because of a virus I had, I lost most of my files...but I'm working on a fansite instead(with downloads of course^^ it just won't be on this forum and a little bit later)

I'm hoping the attendance will pick up. The Salt&Pepper Live House is located in Chandai, Okinawa which isn't on the main island of Honshu where Tokyo, Sendai, Nagoya, and the other dates are. Even for them, 200 seems low. Just hopefully the next dates will be more than 200.

Ouch a virus. If you need anything Haikara related or not, I'll be happy to help.

sorry to double post

-- -- 25 28 34 49↓52 HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR 「swamp man」

Some points from the new Jungle Life Interview
※HALCA sang "XYZ" for the final vocal audition. mACKAz decided then he wanted her as the vocalist.
※pain's lyrics are written in the mindset of a "b1tch"
※HALCA's dad is a drummer
※MEG is the genius behind the title "swamp man"
※From the first second HALCA became a member, the band wanted to create an unified image (no one being in the spotlight)
※Each song has a different theme, keeping with the 'identity' idea.

Weekly ranking
45 2,655 HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR

※fly me to the other moon's industrial metal sound was inspired by Muse and Nine Inch Nails.
※When they go karaoking, Haruka sing X JAPAN, L'Arc, Beyonce and Alicia Keys songs.
※Anti-Nobunaga at first was just a System Of A Down copy band but has now moved towards modern heaviness
※MEG and Kazuto are the two main arrangers.
※MEG plays the piano in "swamp man" (actually all songs with piano parts)
