Just watched her G-Emotion II ~How to use Sexy~ tour (Freakin awesome ) and managed to a get pretty good rip of the hot arrangement she used for Afurechau... BE IN LOVE (10000x better than the original xD). Does anyone know if there's an actual recording of this off a random compilation album or something?

unfortunately no there is no studio version of that i'm hoping that in the future H!P releases some sort of compilation album with new mixes and unreleased songs. i would kill for her solo version of LOVE LIKE CRAZY. Thanks for the mp3 btw that version is so much better, the original is one of her worst a-sides imo.


also no pics have surfaced from the house nation tour yet i'm wondering if the individual clubs have websites with photos...i will check later

Her solo version of LOVE LIKE CRAZY = win. Yeah, I'm rather new to AHS, so this is my first time posting in the Gocchin thread Huge fan of her though. My fave songs would have to be Yaruki! IT'S EASY, Ekizo na Disco, SB!T, Rairai Shinfuu, and about all of How to use Sexy

And btw, you get major props for having a v-u-den sig

Hello Pro Party! 2006 ~Goto Maki Captain Kōen~ was like a dream come true for me, v-u-den and Maki touring together...I also love Tsuji so it was pretty amazing. I wish it happened in late 2007 though. Having the How to use SEXY songs + v-u-den's later singles would have been incredible. Maki in the Aisu Cream to My Pudding bunny suit...

That concert was awesome! Aisu kuriimu would have been great w/ Maki, but I also kinda wish it happened a bit earlier so that instead of just "Nozomi Tsuji" it could have been "W" But alas, it was a great concert anyway.

And yup, I absolutely love v-u-den It was them that really got me into H!P, and they're without a doubt one of my fave H!P groups ever.

I was thinking, what do you think the chances are of a "best of" collection being released for Maki's Piccolo Town works?

Doesn't stuff like that usually happen when an artist switches labels? The old label puts out a compilation to make a few extra bucks out of an artist who is no longer under contract? And isn't usually around the same time as when the artist is releasing their first album with their new label?

Or do you think that because of PREMIUM BEST Piccolo Town won't bother?

...but if they did, what do you think should be on it?

I guess all her classics, Ai no Bakayarou, Yaruki! It's Easy, Daite yo, Uwasa no Sexy Guy, Scramble, Suppin to Namida etc. and maybe a few HtuS songs - like, SB!T and Secret maybe.

However, that brings up another issue I was wondering about - who currently has the rights to her old songs? H!P/UFA/PICCOLO or avex? If its UFA, will they sell it to avex? I really can't decide what would be better... it would be a crime to never hear Maki perform her classics again, but at the same time I looove when younger H!P girls tackle Maki songs in Wonderful Hearts/Fanclub/whatever concerts.

I just hope the songs end up on one side or the other and don't end up in limbo, forgotten forever ... @__@;

I think H!P will probably will release something new from her eventually, it would be really stupid of them not to. They are waiting for her to make an official debut with her new label I think until they release something though, just like with Namie Amuro and Ami Suzuki.

They have so many songs not included on any albums or compilation albums which include all her bsides, Sans Toi m'amie, Ima ni Kitto...In My Life, her HTUS singles, a ton of unreleased songs etc. I would hope they include studio versions of songs sang at concerts plus other unreleased stuff

H!P still has the rights to her songs. I remember seeing a setlist for the recent C-ute concert I think and one of the members sang Glass no Pumps as a solo. Also at a recent H!P eggs concert they sang Tokutōseki (bside for Te wo Nigitte Arukitai) Even though Maki quit H!P she is still on pretty good terms with Tsunku and H!P, she sent him flowers for a concert he had in December. Maki might sing her old songs at upcoming concerts but it would be very rare. A good example would be Namie Amuro, she rarely sings songs from her old record label (the songs on DANCE TRACKS VOL.1 + ORIGINAL TRACKS VOL.1) but she will do it occasionally at concerts...usually during the encore.

Oh wow, I forgot about that! I really hope that Avex makes some arrangement with PICCOLO (or whoever has the rights) so that Maki can at least perform some of her older songs for her first few concerts.

It'd be such a shame if she had to totally drop all her old songs because of her new contract.

I'd love to see her perform some songs from Paint It Gold (my favourite album so far) alongside her new stuff.

Ideally I'd prefer something comprehensive that includes the things you mentioned (maybe even with a concert DVD ) but even if it's just a complete collection of her solo singles, as long as it included a DVD with the PVs, I'd still buy it.
