Well, since Oricon doesn't count online downloads, we cant say how popular or not popular this single is, because not many people will buy physical singles anymore..
But I dont think Sunrise has done bad. It's gonna go strong~ |

^ayu is never a big seller on digitals. Even tho she may get weekly no. 1 on downloads (e.g., Days), the sales figure may not look as good as, let's say hikki. I can't remember.. but did Days' overall download exceed 500K (ringtones + full song combined?)

MW and Days full songs sold 100,000 digitally and the ringtones weren't certified though the singles sold 190,000+. I Don't think that we should compare ayu's sales to hikki. (Specially not from 2007 and not to the songs that had those amount of huge legal downloads). People here have different tastes, some will like fairyland more than BB and Sunrise, some will like BB more than fairyland and Sunrise and some will like Sunrise more than fairyland and BB, I'm one of those people .It's almost as good as July 1st imo. The fact that it sounds closer to July 1st more than the other type of summer songs might do it for me. Last edited by ayumisrael; 12th August 2009 at 02:22 PM. |

How do you know that? No actual sales numbers have come out yet. As for whether itunes/ipods are extremely popular in Japan....you could say they are starting to get more popular, but still the primary way people download music in Japan is through cell phones. So stuff like Musico and Recochaku are better indicators. But still I always say for digital sales you need to actually see the riaj certification before you can say its doing great digitally or something. Anyways, as for the sales of this single, I was expecting around 50k opening day - despite the horrible covers. That's less than Days, but more than her other recent singles which seemed like the logical placement for me. Last edited by SunshineSlayer; 13th August 2009 at 12:14 AM. |

Yeah, I was basing that on charting wise not sales so true, its not the actually sales, but its always at least an indicator you know? Like relatively its doing well since its charting pretty high. So I guess I don't actually know, but again, based on charting its doing well. Now granted, theres only one version on iTunes, unlike Rule/Sparkle and Days/Green which had mutltiple versions on Itunes making it impossible to know which it actually could peak at (ie one version of Rule ranked around 5 while the other ranked at around 70, that could have garnered something closer to one or two)

How much did Together when... sell then digitally if it wasn't a million? I don't know how many times Days was downloaded.
