Next KAT-TUN single to lack Akanishi

Last month, it was announced that KAT-TUN member Jin Akanishi (25) is set to spend several months in the United States to further his solo career, meaning that he will be unable to participate in KAT-TUN's upcoming Asia tour. Now, it is being reported that he is also absent from the group's next single, "Going!," being released on May 12.

The song was recorded in late March, around the time of Akanishi's U.S. concert announcement. Because Akanishi will be missing from the group's tour and from any promotional events for the single, it was decided that the other five members would record the song without him.

Despite Johnny's Jimusho's statements to the contrary, there is much speculation that Akanishi is leaving KAT-TUN, fueled even more by this news. Akanishi is expected to stay in the U.S. until October, when his visa will expire, but he currently has no work scheduled after that. Sources say that there is a possibility of him making a long-term move to the U.S., but nothing has been finalized yet. In any case, it appears that Akanishi may eventually become an absentee member of KAT-TUN, even if he is not officially removed.

Akanishi's trip to the U.S. includes just three concerts in Los Angeles so far, but he is considering doing a club tour as well, as he has already received some offers.

no matter , I still am looking forward to the release of Going ! & I'm sure it will still sounds good , even though it will not have Akanishi's vocals in the song

well his vocals do add much to their songs
but KT-TUN are all great singers so I'm sure it will still be a great single!!

Honestly I don't think he's wanted to be there for a very long time. And I never got the feeling that he and the other members were particularly close to each other.

if you watch the making of clips of Love yourself & THE D-MOTION , you get to see that only Akame do not interact with each other . I think it's sad cos I know that they were childhood friends so somewhere down the line , they definitely have drfited apart .

Kame interacts with everyone very nicely/closely & he didn't make any small talk/contact with Akanishi & vice versa

then again in the making of LIPS , Akanishi tried to make small talk with Kame but Kame ignored him ;__;

^^ I get that feeling too. They don't seem like they even talk or hang out outside of work related activities really. :<

Jin makes me sad because his voice is totally dying. But lately he's been pissing me off, 'cause he used to have a lot of cute personality and now every time I see him he's so zombie-like.

they even bought the same dogs & had the same accessories at 1 point in time in their life

now it's sad that they're not close & treat each other as if they were invisible >_<

Oh, I meant that Akanishi seems removed from the other Kat-tun members (but especially Kame) the other Kat-tun members seem to get along fine. To me, Akanishi has almost always come over as very disinterested in what he is doing.

I thought so too but I was proven wrong when I saw him interacting with T-TUN in the making clips of Love yourself & THE D-MOTION

he knows how to joke around despite the image that he's portraying now which doesn't sit well with me

the same thing goes for Kame too . He interacts well/fine with T-TUN but not with Akanishi & the same thing goes for Akanishi too .__.

KAT-TUN has never really been close as a group...ever. yeah, Kame & Jin were childhood friends, but strictly as a group, NAH. it's better now, of course. they are strictly business when they get together. while not that close, they are professional with each other & i do think they look out for each others interests, which is why Jin is going abroad to perform. they're honest about it with their fans and i respect that.

& i do honestly think Jin does not want to be the typical idol (he's not going to be Sakurai Sho), but i get the sense he does not want to leave because it's his job and has been doing this since he was a kid. i don't think he hates the idol life, but there's some aspects he could care less about.

I saw this in a clip from Shounen Club not long ago.
They were discussing about friends and friendship as a theme and then he gets asked how he feels about KAT-TUN and he says something at first but then he changes and says

"no actually KAT-TUN is more like family to me"

...
so I feel really sorry for Kame's sake. But then again what Jin is doing is amazing, as far as I know no other JE artist has had shows in USA.

So as a KAT-TUN-fan I have mixed feelings, but I will keep on supporting them.
