Can someone told me when I can find the most detailed Kuu biography?

The wiki is really good for Kuu info as a lot of it is checked or verified.

I don't think there is a really good & up to date, translated bio out there on the web. I rely on reading magazine interviews and watching her talk segments of tv shows really. There's a lot of stuff you can learn about her in them that you won't find on the web otherwise.

But after that she didn't show up in any music programs, until cutie honey in 2004

After working very hard on writing the lyrics to these tracks and having them not sell well, Koda became depressed. She began eating to comfort herself. Later when asked about her poor promotion, Matsuura Max said that the reason was that she was overweight and that promoting her with her current image would not help. Koda then started working on her image. She kept a strict diet and a vigorous exercise routine. She has also said that she could have not kept up with it all if not for her boyfriend at the time.

I really want to be fat like that....

Don't forget that's Japan we're talking about. They do have other standards and Kuu does have a heavier body structure, even though I'd never ever call her fat.

Yep it's Tohoshinki,

I don't reli know why he was particularly mean to Kuu though; it's like no other avex artistes have encountered such miseries with him before...

Max is stuck up Kumi's ass now though, he is constantly buttkissing her like there's no tomorrow and asking her to escort him to movie premieres and stuff. I think it's because he knows that Kuu is a powerhouse for avex and if he fks up too bad she will pull an Ayumi and be like *****

well but to be honest, slimming down DOES help kuu.

Although to us fans, Max seem harsh to tell kuu that she's too fat and need to slim, but does anyone realise, it's for her own good. Max seem like a father who talk straight to the point to me. (^_^)

Everyone imagine this:
If kuu did not slim down, even with promotion she's not catchy to regular japanese at all. When it comes to jpop, the fastest way to get notice are pretty and slim girls with good music. Back then, kuu only have good talent, but her size is consider overweight to other jpop artists.

so, if she did not slim down, she won't be so popular and you guys might not even know who she is.

Max just told her the truth. She was kinda chubby back then and that doesn't sell well. If he doesn't run the place well and avex makes losses then dozens of people lose their jobs. The more responsibilities you get, the less you can afford to always play Mr. Nice Guy.

We don't know how Max went about it. But I do agree that her initial image wasn't really marketable at all. She had... no image, really. When she slimmed down, started wearing more revealing outfits, etc, people took notice. Besides, I think that even she thinks that she looks good slim, otherwise she wouldn't try anymore after making it big... and it's clear that she DOES try.

I think she looks healthy at this weight. I don't think it would do her any good to get any bigger. It seems like she found a nice medium.
