no no no, it doesn't sound rude at all it was just a misunderstanding it seems hehe, i thougut it was about TRF's ver, not Ayu's xD
because from what i've read here, i thought there was only ayu's acoustic and trf's original mix.

so wait... where was Ayu's original mix released? the tens on TRF's album doesn't really include Ayu only :/

OMG. i FINALLY figured it out! Apparently, I've had the wrong version ever since 2006! I listened to the version you linked me to (thanks!) and it STILL sounded JUST like the acoustic version to me...so I went upstairs, pulled out my Startin'/Born to Be... single and popped it in and i finally figured it out. i apparently downloaded the single and never really used my copy, but whatever i downloaded had the ORIGINAL version tagged as the acoustic.

i've been confused about this for YEARS. lmao. i've downloaded the original version 5 or 6 times over the years and thought it sounded just like the acoustic. i feel like a dumby.

THANK YOU CALICO for finally helping me figure this out, lol!

EDIT: and after listening to the real acoustic version, i realize why i used to really love this song! the acoustic version is so much better!
