But I third Nacker on the industry thing. When a solo artist or a non-idol group with less than 5 people can sell in the 500K+ range again THEN I'll think the industry is back on the rise.

Has AKB always done the handshake events though? From the way it sounds over at S48, the next single seems to be the first one where the RE will be without the tickets but it'll also be the first one with more than two regular types so we'll see if it has an significant effect (if at all) on sales or evens out. The next single will probably benefit off of the hype from Beginner though so we may not be able to even tell. XD
