Ori Star unveils results for their poll, “What’s your favorite song by your favorite artist?”

Weekly entertainment magazine Ori Star recently announced the results of its latest survey, asking for their fans’ favorite song by their favorite artist.

Arashi top’s track was “Monster”, the theme song to the drama “Kaibutsu-Kun” which stars member Ohno Satoshi. When asked why they chose this song, one fan replied, “I can’t help but love the impact of the song and their cool dancing.” To round off the top three tracks for Arashi, ”Monster” was followed by “truth” and “Troublemaker”.

Other favorites include Ikimonogakari’s hit song “Arigatou”, which earned three times the number of votes as their debut song, “SAKURA”. Tohoshinki’s first song as a two-member unit, “Why? (Keep Your Head Down)”, also ranked highly on the list.

In 2010, singer-songwriter YUI returned from a brief hiatus from music and released her fourth album Holidays in the Sun. To celebrate the occasion, she embarked on her first live tour in two years. The Hotel Holidays in the Sun tour took YUI to 12 venues for a total of 15 shows, including the a final show at the Nippon Budokan. That November 2nd show is the one recorded on the tour's DVD. In addition to the amazing concert, the DVD also features an audio commentary by YUI and a special photobook.

YUI to sing Paradise Kiss theme songs

Singer-songwriter, YUI (23), has been chosen to sing the theme songs for Kitagawa Keiko’s movie “Paradise Kiss”, which opens in theatres on June 4th.

These new songs were specifically written for the movie, the opening song is called “HELLO~Paradise Kiss~” and the ending song is called “YOU”. YUI is also a huge fan of Yazawa Ai’s Paradise Kiss manga, she commented, “The melody came to my mind easily. They are songs that are full of hope”.

This will be the 6th theme song YUI has sang for a movie.

YUI reveals details on “HOTEL HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN” DVD

tokyohive previously reported that popular singer/songwriter YUI would be releasing her live DVD, “HOTEL HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN”, on March 9th, and she has just announced the track list for the album!

In addition to her live performances, the DVD will have special commentary by YUI and Shigezou; popular for being a duo on YUI RADIO. Only the First Press Limited Edition will include a (phone) sleeve case and booklet.
