^The only japanese press cds I have are passion, scv2, keep tryin', and flavor of life. I just checked, but that's about it. None of my albums besides said, are japan press. Damn. my collection looks so beat up and used. I'd probably get $5 at most for each single, if I was lucky at a garage sale.

I had Taiwanese Utada CDs and they're always high quality compared to China or Korean CDs. I threw away the obis though cause I was retarded back then. I dunno, you can get Japanese Utada crud for pretty cheap. I got my Distance first press for $3 on ebay and ULTRA BLUE for $7 at BookOff.

I have just FIRST LOVE, Distance and DEEP RIVER and For You/Time Limit
I bought them at the Virgin Megastore (*sigh* R.I.P.) regular press (Japanese press if that's what you call it)

all of her other albums I can find in my local library lmao (I also found Namie's Play there too)

I just saw this and I know I'm late (don't kill me)

On August 9, 2010, Utada announced on her personal blog that starting in 2011,
she would go on an indefinite hiatus, citing fatigue since her debut 12 years before,
wanting to rest, study new things, learn more about the world, and to give time to private matters.
She says the period could be anything from two to five years.
wikipedia
She had fatige I didn't know that (but she always took long in her releases) but still poor hikki

I also need to repurchase most of my Utada collection. I bought 90% of what I have from her when I was 12 and I used every album, single, & DVD that I bought A LOT. Nothing is in very good condition that I own besides my Exodus '04 vinyl single.

I love my used copies though. It gives them character and shows how much I love her. I would like to buy (at least her albums) again though when I've got the money and keep them sealed and nice. I went through three copies of EXODUS (not counting my UK one) and 2 copies of DEEP RIVER. I also gave my Hikari single and First Love album away as birthday presents to two friends that like Utada.

It's confirmed that Utada did in fact donate some dinero to the Japanese red cross.

Message from Utada Hikaru concerning the Tohoku earthquake
Jessica Ng on Sunday, March 27, 2011 12:30PM

Yet another famous celebrity singer has a message pertaining to the effects of the recent earthquake disaster in Japan. Japanese pop singer sensation Utada Hikaru updated her blog, mentioning that after the earthquake had taken place, she donated 400ml of her blood to the blood bank and made an ¥80,000,000 ($983,888 USD) donation to the Red Cross organization in Japan. She urged others to help also and donate to Red Cross and saying it is specifically for the Japan relief.

Utada then went on, saying that this earthquake is a lesson that everyone can get something out of.
“For decades we have depended on nuclear power. It has made possible quick economic growth and a ‘convenient’ society, but also a lifestyle that is very wasteful.”

Through this experience, Japan was able to realize that they had been taking many things, even simple ones, for granted everyday: food, energy, daily supplies, running water, resources, and even life itself. “If we all save energy, use only what we need, and live responsibly for what we consume, we can make the world a safer, more peaceful place, for us all.”

Let those words soak into your head. I think what Utada says makes perfect sense. We should not take anything for granted, because it can all be taken away in a blink of an eye. Only using what we need is enough; why waste when the energy can go towards something else?

Utada then thanked everyone for all the efforts from overseas to help rebuild and heal Japan’s losses. Let us wish Japan a safe and speedy recovery, continuing our support. Ganbare, Nippon!

We wished Ayu did something more than 35 million yen, because she has a lot of money compared to Utada... (some $400 million? Maybe she should donate a million or two!)

Don't compare how much they donate The fact they're donating at all counts, plus both are doing other things in their own time to help all they can.

Ayu is also more active than Utada, has more staff members to pay, and needs to pump more money into projects (so she doesn't really have all that money to be donating recklessly) than Utada and wtf why am I pretending anything Bigtop says is worth responding to

In case anyone was interested, here's the English post (basically saying the same things):

Source: http://www.emimusic.jp/hikki/from_hikki/index.php

03.26(SAT) 11:17 A Message

On March 11th, a massive earthquake and tsunami hit North Japan, taking the lives of countless people, leaving many survivors homeless, in the cold, with no gas, no electricity, no running water, and in fear of radiation leaking from a nuclear power plant.

This is the biggest natural disaster recorded in Japanese history in a thousand years.

After the earthquake I gave 400 ml of my blood to a blood bank, and made a donation to Japan's Red Cross. At times like these, we need to help one another, do what we can the each of us. Please help Japan, it doesn't matter how much you give. One way to make a donation is through your country's Red Cross, by specifying its use for Japan's earthquake and tsunami victims.

There is something we can all learn from what is happening in Japan. For decades we have depended on nuclear power. It has made possible quick economic growth and a "convenient" society, but also a lifestyle that is very wasteful.

This catastrophe has made many of us in Japan realize that we have been taking many things for granted---food, energy, daily supplies, running water, resources, life.

You don't have to wait until you lose everything, to learn that what you have is precious. If we all save energy, use only what we need, and live responsibly for what we consume, we can make the world a safer, more peaceful place, for us all.

All of us in Japan are very grateful, we are all touched deeply, by the support we have received from overseas. Thank you. I wish you all love, and peace.

Hikaru Utada

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/rcms/jpop/u...fe_poster.html

I like this picture more than the dvd cover. Anyways, I bought heart station (they said it's an eligible item) but I didn't see "free poster" or anything added to the order when I placed it, so I hope I still get it.

Just noticed this. So I guess I did get it, and they're not saying if you got it or not? Keeping it under the table I guess.
