Well, Ayu certainly didn't break any records, even if it was short. This whole thing will blow over soon, I bet. The people criticizing her are probably the same people who have always criticized her, and her fans will continue to support her like they've always done.

This kinda saddens and frustrates me. I would just really like to see ayu married and happy. But I guess not now. And I kind of just hope this doesn't become something too bad. I mean media criticism is expected. Hopefully there are no extreme court issues and such.

I don't really know what to think, but I guess it's not surprising.
I just can't help but wonder if there are other reasons why...

There are some crazy filp flop fans who love and hate her based on single decisions. I seem to remember one AHSer not being a fan after Lady Dynamite. But, I think the majority of the fans are good people who love her for the bulk of her work, not single decisions.

^I think this was discussed earlier. She's registered as married in the US but not Japan. I guess technically Japanese media has no reason to be criticizing her.

But, she's still married in the US, right? Which could validate the idea that she planned to move to the US, she intended to become a citizen and didn't need to be officially married in Japan. Or, the media is making stuff up...

No one I know in America, including myself, cares about celebrity divorces when it comes to being a fan.

It's unfortunate if ayu has fans who would do that because the short marriage.

I dunno if Mannie moved from Austria to US, or is just of Austrian heritage. But, to work there as a model he probably had legit citizenship.

If her marriage isn't technically official in Japan, divorcing Mannie in the US is more of a formality than anything. Because he's a US citizen (or plans to become one) legally married, and unless they get divorced, he won't be able to remarry in the US.

I doubt it. Divorce proceedings always get tied up in bureaucracy, even if both parties agree. Plus, she'll have to be there to sign papers in person eventually. Divorce is a legal process that can take months.
