^ And in addition, I don't think it would sit well with Ayu if she didn't get divorced to Mannie.

Okay so say she falls in love with a Japanese citizen down the road and wants to get married in Japan. Can you imagine her technically being married to Mannie in the US and then to this Japanese guy in Japan? o.o

Except that Avex approved it in early December, according to their press release and her managers and staff were the only others in Vegas for it.

I just hope for her sake it doesn't turn out that this what she told TA she was being asked to do that she was uncomfortable with. It sure isn't looking like she ever planned to be married in Japan. Which is really odd, just like everything else about this situation.

I think it's possible (but not likely) that the whole thing was a PR stunt. Does anyone want to dig out the news articles that first mentioned Ayu's marriage? If there's any mention of NEW ALBUM "Love songs", chances are a standard news release was written by Avex and sent out to all major news outlets. Showing up at Kouhaku in a wedding dress singing "Virgin Road" was rather... convenient. It built hype around the album. Plus, Mannie got free publicity. He's got starring in three PV's by a major recording artist on his resume.

Youre right. She said the virgin road performance was why she didnt wear a wedding dress for the wedding. The press releases didnt mention the album and marriage together, but they all mentioned virgin road at the same time as the marriage. And the album was a week before the wedding.

I ignored everyone that told me it was all year. Even a japanese celebrity that messaged me on facebook saying that was all it was. But now it looks too much like Avex put her in over her head hoping to boost their sales. It failed miserably and is probably going to lose sales now and get much worse when the truth is told.

Well I think the Super Ayu was just a compilation of her shoots with Leslie. He surprised her with it as a birthday gift. It would not have been a surprise if she did a seperate shoot for it. Plus I don't think if she did that privately she would have allowed him to print 500 copies.

Right now mostly Elemental Monster Online Card Game, Gran Turismo 5 & DC Universe. I need to get Crysis 2 so I can play with my friends in Japan more often though
