Chopard Diamond Award

The Chopard Diamond World Music Award is an award created in 2001, given to artists who have sold over 100 million albums over the course of their careers. It is not presented every year. To date only 6 artists won this award:

- 2001: Rod Stewart
- 2003: Mariah Carey
- 2004: Celine Dion
- 2005: Bon Jovi
- 2006: Michael Jackson
- 2008: The Beatles

Wouldn't be ayu a serious candidate for this award? ( I don't know the exact number of her sales, that's why I wonder it).

She only sold a total of ~50 millions of her releases, but I don't know if it counts the worldwide sales, or only in Japan.

That's only Japanese sales and only physical sales. 60-70 million seems like a good estimate for total sales(including digital)

According to Namie's official website, she is holding a concert at Tokyo Dome for her "namie amuro 5大ドーム TOUR ～20th Anniversary Best～" on the date of this show so I don't think she'll be in attendance.
