Great album, some really unexpected songs like FU and #GETITRIGHT.
The Britney collab is great but underwhelming, her verse is the best part and it's so short.

Well, Bangerz is kind of really cool!
I still have to listen to it more, but for now I can say it's WAY higher quality than her previous works. FU is, like, A MASTERPIECE: what the hell is all this amazing experimentation girl!! |

Updated the first post and spoiler'd the 2010 information.
It's nice to see so many positive comments about her new image debut. It seems her music is speaking louder than her crafted reputation at the moment, which is always better for a music artist imo

It's nothing really serious, but she pretty much made light of mental illness by calling Sinead the original Amanda Bynes in response to the open letter and retweeting Sinead on twitter asking for help.

I thought there was something I'd missed. How weird.
To be inspired by them but then that? I really don't get her PR, but I guess it's working for her.

It does work for her in a way, same thing with Rihanna. That's why I'm so against Twitter if it comes to musicians. I like them better when I don't know their every thought lol.

There's two letters I believe. The original and Sinead's response to Miley's attack. The second letter...whoa Sinead goes hard.

Sinead O'Connor's letter is SO important. Stop stanning for a moment and process her words of wisdom. She's a middle-aged woman who knows what she's talking about.
Miley was obviously going to respond in an immature and superficial way. I'm so sick of the prostitution/rape culture in the music industry. |

Sinead's advice nobody asked for was basically shaming her for acting sexual and showing her body, stating she has mental or drugs issues and calling her stupid. Miley probably got offended and I would feel the same. Why are people expecting her to break down? Isn't nobody watching her interviews or something? Girls sounds healthy and pretty down to earth. Now, just Justin Bieber is acting less and less conected to reality and nobody seens to bother about it. |

Well, Miley must get lots of people sending her messages constantly, trashing her and being plain mean to her, and she chose to reply to Sinead's because obviously it got to her.
Miley mentioned Sinead as her role model if I'm not mistaken in one of her latest magazine interviews, I don't blame Sinead for giving her some advice (which she could've just ignored), specially if she was mentioned by Miley first. And her advice is deeper than you think, and a lot wiser than your description. I recommend you to read it again. She's not calling her stupid, but just young, as we have all been once, being young and without experience leads to people that might take advantage of us. Miley's response on the other hand, was pointless and immature. Making fun of someone's mental illness? Really Miley? Oh, and talking about interviews, Amanda Bynes was never going to be the next Lindsay Lohan, according to her 1:05 to be exact. Nobody knows what will happen with Miley in the future, and I surely don't wish that she becomes the next Lindsay/Bynes or whatever, but her attitude right now is terrible and as a role model she should feel ashamed of herself. 1 - People shouldn't use popstars as role-models, this is just plain stupid. The whole "someone please think about the children" thing that comes back everytime a popstars that has nothing to do with babysitting do something "shocking".
2 - Miley is part of the industry since she was very, very young. And even worst, she was part of Disney, one of the most exploitive companies EVER when it comes to entertainers... So, even if she is young, people shouldn't ignore her experience on the way the machine operates, as she probably understands it better than a lot of older popstars. Miley is trying to be part of the industrial pop facture on her own therms, like a lot of people from Madonna to Beyoncé to Ayu, while Sinead never really wanted it. There are a lot of young popstars being exploited by the big machine, and yet, Sinead chose to pick on a girl that is rich since forever, that is the children of a popstar, that is the goddaugher of one of the BIGGEST music stars in the country, that is well seasoned on how the industry works, that is well seasoned on how it can exploit somebody (and she herself was by Disney) and that fired her whole team once she left Disney and hired people according to what she wanted to do. There are men making money with Miley's sexuality, some maybe even more than her, but Miley herself is exploiting her sexuality. Saying that acting sexual and comparing her to a prostitute and that her body is just for her and her boyfriend is slut-shaming. Saying she will end up on rehab is either saying she has drugs or mental issues. Saying her decisions can't be hers is calling her stupid. 3 - Lindsay Lohan didn't lose her mind overnight. Neither did Britney. And even if Amanda wasn't showing that much in public, neither did she. They didn't end a job looking happy today and looked broken on the next day like it was a new person, and neither did Amy Whinehouse or Whitney or Michael. And yet, it wasn't their music or their videos or their movies that made it clear they were losing it... They were working with professionals, some of them had the money to pay the best, the ones who didn't could pay the 2nd or 3rd best, of course they would look perfect on their releases. People are mistaking Miley's promotional anthics with her personal life, and this is stupid... There are young popstars (like Bieber that I mentioned before) that look perfectly fine when the camera is on, and still, ARE giving signals of losing it behind the curtains, and still, Sinead concerned trolled Miley, whose personal life is mostly private, who ended her relationship because she was cheated on, who spends way too much time on twitter promoting her album to be actually doing something that crazy. There's no sex tapes, there's no meltdowns, there's no personal life scandals and she sounds sharp and self-aware on interviews, and yet, people are expecting her to go on the disaster route based on 2 music videos, a VMA performance and a couple of promotional photoshots. It's the same thing of believing Katy Perry dressed with candy during Teenage Dream or that Madonna was part of the BDSM based on Erotica. Now... If people wanna discuss her relationship with race and little people, or that her response to Sinead was pretty bad on itself, I would agree she is problematic.
