The mainstream Japanese media is horrible to her. I rolled out of bed this morning and turned on the news (like talk shows--"The Today Show," for example, in the States) to see a picture of Ayu and the UCLA student and some catty announcer simperingly declaring that the chances of their divorce were--drumroll, bar graphic across the bottom--99%! Even if you think that, it just seems nasty to say such a thing about anyone on national TV, let alone with such glee. :-/
