Unbelievable. I can't believe this could happen...

Ten years ago, KAT-TUN started out with SIX members. Now, by the time 10th anniversary comes...it has been cut down to only THREE.

And it was announced on national television. :O

Gosh, I don't know what the future of KAT-TUN will be... They say they're going to try to do their best as a three-person group, but my mind may otherwise say so...

It's a terrible thing & for myself I've been supporting KAT-TUN since 2008

Seeing them from the original 6 members lineup to a soon to be trio , it's depressing

I feel more sorry for Kame , Ueda & Nakamaru . I can't imagine how they feel after Taguchi told them he plans to leave

Let alone for those who support KAT-TUN from their pre debut ; 2001 until now , it's even worst

I'm not so sure how KAT-TUN is going to continue on after Taguchi leaves but regardless , I will still continue to support Kame , Ueda & Nakamaru

For Taguchi planning to leave BOTH the group & the Jimusho , it's quite bad . It wasn't that bad when Yamapi left NEWS as he's still in the Jimusho but this's just on another awful level :x

True but NEWS had it worst for them , from 9 members to 8 to 6 & now 4 . I know at that time the reminding members thought of disbanding but they chose not to due to the fans

Besides the Jimusho already upfront state KAT-TUN will not disband but it will be hard to imagine how the reminding 3 members will sound like vocally together without Taguchi in place x_x

JPopAsia - Taguchi Junnosuke Reported To Have Left KAT-TUN To Date Freely

The reason behind Taguchi Junnosuke's decision to leave KAT-TUN and Johnny's & Associates next spring has become a hot topic for the media and the public.

According to various media outlet is Japan, it is believed that Taguchi was partly motivated to leave the group and company in order to start dating unrestricted. The idol has reportedly been dating actress Komine Rena for the past 8 years, and with Taguchi turning 30 next year, he wants to be able to develop their relationship in ways he can't as a member of KAT-TUN.

Industry insiders say that Taguchi does not have immediate plans to get married. However, because these matters can have a negative affect on the group, Taguchi's decision to leave is thought to be have been done in order to protect KAT-TUN's image.

Earlier this year, Arashi's Ohno Satoshi was discovered to be in a relationship with an actress. There was a huge backlash against this, and he eventually publicly apologised, denied the relationship, and promised never to see the woman again. A similar backlash would likely occur to any member of KAT-TUN that began dating openly.

Taguchi will be leaving KAT-TUN in the spring of 2016. An exact date has not been set for his departure.

I think this should be true as Taguchi is generally scandal free unlike Akanishi and/or Tanaka & if it's not woman , then it's $ matters that he decides to leave

Then again , TOKIO , SMAP & V6 each have members that're married but still stay on and not leave the company altogether

It's a double edge sword for Johnnys . On 1 hand they can't date openly but some along the way will have the desire to settle down but what ideal age it will be , it's a never ending debate

As already reported, KAT-TUN member Taguchi Junnoske announced that he is leaving KAT-TUN and Johnny & Associates next spring, a surprising announcement that made it to the top of worldwide trending topics and gave NTV’s Best Artist its peak rating of 19.6%.

Moments after Taguchi’s announcement, statements from J&A and the members were posted on Johnnys Web. An official English version was recently updated, as can be seen below.

Thank you very much for your patronage and support.

We apologise for the sudden announcement. Johnny & Associates and KAT-TUN member Taguchi Junnosuke have come to an agreement not to proceed with a contract renewal.

We hereby announce that Taguchi Junnosuke will be leaving KAT-TUN and Johnny & Associates next spring.

We also sincerely apologise to all of the fans, who have been supportive of the group, for having to make this announcement as KAT-TUN’s 10th anniversary next year is approaching.

Johnny & Associates also offers an apology for the troubles caused to all interested parties who have supported Taguchi Junnosuke and KAT-TUN. We will be discussing the time of withdrawal with producers so as to minimise the impact on the programmess that Taguchi Junnosuke is currently appearing as a regular member.

Johnny & Associates is not planning on the dissolution of KAT-TUN at this time. However, we will be discussing future plans for the group that will bring the best results for the remaining members, and will bring you updates at a later time.

During the ten-odd years that we spent as KAT-TUN, we have saddened our fans so many times.

I am so sorry and full of regret. It has been 2 years since Tanaka Koki left.

While receiving support from our fans and staff, we have come this far with a feeling of needing to deepen our bond and to stay together. Next year will be our 10th anniversary, and there is a need for us to stay closely united as a group. But in the meantime, different feelings started to develop little by little among the members, and we talked about our inability to share the same feelings in proceeding onward.

KAT-TUN has been active as a four-person group for 2 years, establishing itself as a new group, thanks to your support. However, there was a huge gap between how we perceived entertainment business, and despite my efforts, I just could not fill that gap.

With the group’s 10th anniversary of debut approaching, we wanted to deliver something positive to the people who have been continuously supporting us. We are truly sorry that a member’s withdrawal has been decided against that hope. I personally feel greatly saddened that a friend, with whom we have shared both happiness and hard work for such a long time, is leaving the group.

[Coverage] Highlights: Skechers' Sundown Festival Press Conference

INKT is a Japanese rock band that debuted last year in 2014. Even though the band is only almost two years old, the members have had rich prior experience in the industry as members of bands previously, notably “KAT-TUN” and “High And Mighty Colour”.

They bowed to the media as they were walking in and proceeded to sit on their seats, each having a placard with their names.

When being asked what their music identity was, vocalist Tanaka Koki took the lead to answer that in their 1st Album it was about what they could learn as a new formation, what their true identity was and when they were sure of that, in their 2nd album they were more aggressive about their music and they also put in a lot more effort to showcase what they are at present and what they’re working on now.

However, it was difficult to be upset by a little bit of rain, when the next artiste was none other than INKT, the five-member Japanese outfit fronted by a very energetic Koki Tanaka. The former KAT-TUN member raised the bar yet another level higher, belting out anime-worthy rock tunes backed by his equally talented band.

Occasionally he would speak to the crowd with his smattering of English that while limited, still got the audience cheering. Of course it was obvious what the cheering was for and Tanaka delivered with plenty of fan service, whipping his hair back and forth and sticking out his tongue to tease the many fan girls who were legitly screaming “Kyaaaaa!” at his every antic.

Nonetheless it was still impressive to see them maintain that exuberance throughout the whole set and before they left they took a commemorative wefie with the crowd, who by now were newly minted INKT fans.

Tanaka Koki responds to Taguchi Junnosuke's withdrawal from KAT-TUN

On November 27th, Tanaka Koki made a live appearance on TOKYO MX's program "Barairo Dandy" where he responded to the news about Taguchi Junnosuke's withdrawal from KAT-TUN.

When the program began, MC Shimada Youshichi touched on the subject, "It seems another KAT-TUN member quit 2 or 3 days ago?" to which Tanaka responded, "I was shocked. I didn't know about it." Then, commentator Suidobashi Hakase asked, "Did he ask you for any advice?" and Tanaka answered, "I was watching TV and I learned about it at the same time everyone else did." He added, "I support him."

Tanaka left both KAT-TUN and Johnny & Associates, Inc. back in 2013. He is currently the vocalist for rock band INKT, and is also active as an actor.

Tanaka Koki Comments About Taguchi Junnosuke Leaving KAT-TUN

Earlier this week, Taguchi Junnosuke revealed live on TV that he will no longer be part of KAT-TUN in spring. He made the official announcement after the group's performance at NTV's year end programme.

Few days after, former KAT-TUN member Tanaka Koki commented about this news saying that he found out about it the same time everybody did as he was watching TV that time. He also said that he supports Taguchi in his decision.

Further news broke out that Taguchi decided to leave both the group and Johnny & Associates so he can date without any restriction. He is reported to be in an 8-year relationship with actress Komine Rena.

Tanaka left KAT-TUN in 2013 when Johnny & Associates terminated his exclusive contract because of repeated violation of company rules. He continued his music career by forming rock band, INKT where he is the vocalist.

KAT-TUN's Taguchi Junnosuke Apologises For Not Explaining Reason For Leaving Group

With speculation and controversy surrounding Taguchi Junnosuke's decision to leave KAT-TUN, the idol has apologised for not explaining his reason for his withdrawal.

Taguchi was a guest on the Nippon Cultural Broadcasting radio programme "Rekomen!" on November 30. It was on this show that the singer apologised for not explaining himself.

"I apologise for causing confusion to my fans and group members because my explanation was insufficient," Taguchi said.

Despite acknowledging that he had not fully explained his reason for leaving KAT-TUN, Taguchi did not go into the details behind his decision to leave.

"I'm sorry I haven't been able to convince my fans that things are ok, however, I am unable to say anything," he said.

According to various reports, it is believed that Taguchi is leaving KAT-TUN in order to date freely. The idol is rumoured to have been dating actress Komine Rena in secret for the past 8 years.

When Taguchi made his surprise announcement on live TV, the singer stated that he wanted to make progress in his personal life now that he is in his 30s.

Although his time with KAT-TUN is coming to an end, Taguchi has promised to continue working hard as a member of the group until he officially leaves. An exact date for his departure has not been set.

Kamenashi Kazuya Plays As A Thief In Latest NTV Drama

KAT-TUN member Kamenashi Kazuya will be back on the small screen as it was announced that he will be starring in the newest NTV drama offering for January 2016, "Kaito Yamaneko" (The Mysterious Thief Yamaneko).

He will be acting alongside Hirose Suzu , whose character is a genius hacker, Narimiya Hiroki , who was recently revealed to be portraying the role of a magazine writer, and other actors like Sasaki Kuranosuke and Nanao.

The story which was based on Kaminaga Manabu's “Kaito Tantei Yamaneko Series” is about 'Yamaneko', who steals money from evil people and corporations and later unveil their evil actions.

According to Kamenashi, he finds the character fun to portray as it requires some action scenes like jumping from building to building affirming he has done such things during his previous concerts and stage musicals.

Directed by Inomata Ryuichi, "Kaito Yamaneko" will begin airing in January every Saturday at 9PM (JST).
