I heard that she may not have the rights to the mastered versions of the songs before her split with her old management company, hence the real reason she re-recorded all the songs. I'd rather not think that that's the reason she re-recorded the songs, though. I do question why her rendition of "WANT ME, WANT ME" on "Finally" sounds worse than the live version of it. And if only we could've gotten the version of "WMWM" from her "PAST < FUTURE" tour. That version is godly.

^I stated that a few pages back. But her split was prior FEEL.

Actually, her split was after "BRIGHTER DAY". "_genic" was the first album she released after the split, and then "Red Carpet" was the first single post-split.

Wasn't BALLADA released already under the Dimension Point label? If so, having no rights would make no sense...

I’ve listened to Finally.
The first CD is great and I like the new changes in most of her older songs. The only versions I don’t like are the songs from 60s70s80s. I do think lack of energy in these tracks.

Yes. However at that time she was still with her management company, Rising Productions. Dimension Point just released her CDs, Rising Productions owned the rights to her songs. She officially quit RP and went completely with avex/Dimension Point in 2015, so the idea that she was unable to get the rights to the masters of the songs released prior to 2015 makes sense. Nothing is confirmed though.

Oh, I didn't know about Rising Productions, that's interesting. But Namie has always re-recorded stuff here and there, so I think owning rights was not a problem. Just a thought, tho.

Yeah. I mean, she did re-record songs for Ballada as well as her LOVE ENHANCED best. All of it is pure speculation.
I just wanna know why she let WMWM turn out the way it did. |

I bought all three. Lol The booklet is just the lyrics and credits with one photo of Namie at the end. No new ones.

Thanks for answering my question ShiniTakashi , I appreciate it
Which photo of Namie is used at the last page ? If so , is it the same shot used for all 3 versions of Finally ?

I can't believe you guys are saying the re-recorded songs are lifeless. I mean she GAVE life to some of them lololol
also didn't she just part ways with Vision Factory? the rumor I know is that when she created DP she brought with her all the rights to her songs... edit: what? her split was after BRIGHTER DAY? no lol she did it before FEEL. it was her first release under DP. I mean she announced both of them (the album and the recording label) together Last edited by hud; 7th November 2017 at 03:03 PM. |

^a) no one said all of them are bad b) the Dimension Point at that point was her record label, not her management

I've listened all through it.
And I can't help it, but the whole thing sounds quite flat to me. Maybe it's the mastering. I usually have no ear for that stuff, but I guess cause it's new versions of old songs, I can notice it? I don't have that much of a problem with the new songs on it. It's definitely not her new vocals alone. I decided to not buy it for now and gonna buy the songs I like digitally.

a) no need to be rude
b) you're not giving me lessons so why you're talking like this? keep yourself in your lane. that's what I've heard and know about that period so no need to talk to me like that. ![]() |

I was never a fan of CSCEIS, but I don't think the changes were that bad. WANT ME, WANT ME is more... quiet? idk. but it didn't bother me actually. she seemed uninterested in singing it again that's for sure. I was pretty excited when it leaked (and I was high actually so I tend to like things more) so now I'm listening to it with a judging ear. |
