The pi symbol A is more based on ayu's signature. Look at this:


ayu's handwriting on the front of the A Song for XX promo sampler CD. (just cuz i can't find a scan of just ayu's writing in the back of the A Song for XX booklet, but it looks about the same there)... see how the crossbar on the A doesn't extend past the first downward stroke? (meaning it doesn't come out the left side.) The pi symbol is across between that A and the "pi" symbol that was on alot of teeshirts back in 1999.

Ayu only started signing with the crossbar coming out either side and up AFTER the trademark A came into use on the back of LOVEppears.
