Full Extended Club Mixes VS. Radio Edits

Just asking.

I don't mind edits. But, as a big dance music fan, I prefer the full length mixes. As long as the track has the word "edit" at the end, I'll keep looking for the full thing.

What's your opinion?

'extended mix' and 'extended club mix' are usually different mixes ....

anyways , it depends . sometimes an edit doesn't give you the full effect of the song. and sometimes edit just makes the song work better and the extened mix is too drawn out or lagging and it hurts the song. so it really depends on the song a lot for me

if i'm just listening to the song, i get bored w/ the extended mixes (so long; hence the name!), so i prefer the edits.

i prefer to listen to a Radio Edit first, and if i really like the song, i'll go for the Extended Version.

(now i don't know if i can live without Hung Up (SDP's Extended Vocal)...X_x!!!!)

Really depends on what I'm in the mood for. Sometimes I want to hear the "full length glory" and other times I just want to go through songs. But most of the time, extended.

It really depends. Sometimes, the Full Extended versions are great but most of these just tend to repeat the same thing over and over again with little variations. So I'll more often than not go for the Radio Edits. They're MUCH shorter and well, they don't bore me out!

it really depends...a lot of times i get super bored with extended mixes...i mean, sometimes i don't feel like listening to "thump thump thump" for two minutes just waiting for the track to really begin. but then again, if its a good track with a great build up, that extended time can be great. so i really don't know which way to vote.

Most of the time I prefer radio-edits, unless the extended mix is a really good one -- most of the time they are just repetitive

well... 4 minutes for a Dance Mix is too short...the radio mixes take away very good part of the full mixes...the climax of the song alwaysare in the extended mix not in the radio mix.

and well...im a dj and you can't made a good mix with a song with fades or abrupt ends

I prefer extended mixes. Electronic music, especially trance, is structured around build-ups and break-downs so removing parts of it messes with the song.

Radio edits, because extended mixes are quite agonizing if you're anticipating the chorus. However, if the song is really good, every bit of it, like Dannii Minogue's new stuff, then I prefer extended ones.
