i love how everyone is complaining lol. it may be the same pose, but the eyes are different, her head position is slightly different between CD+DVD A and B. and her hands is holding some material in CD only. but at least people dont have to choose...

Same. I'm hoping that YesAsia will announce that they'll include the poster... I really do. Those CDs will look so awesome having them all lined up beside eachother, similar or not.

I think they are all pretty...LOL; hard not to though. But hey, we should really think about this before we start pounding on Ayu..

No other artist (that I have seen) in the US or Japan has ever been able to release an album & go on a nationwide tour consecutively ALMOST every single year since their debut. Don't you guys think Ayu's a little tired??? Maybe they didn't have time for a costume change...Maybe Ayu's face was exahausted from so much work...I know mine would be after doing all those magazines & single covers and other stuff...

All the other artist's I've seen go on hiatus, they just break off & then come back 5 years later when you forget all about them; or they just do silly things just to get a break.
I'd have to say that Ayu has got to be one of the hardest working celeb's I know. She's just always working; even on vacations...(assuming that this photoshoot took place during that trip to Dubai & the B&D/Pride/(miss)understood promotions)....She works so hard it's almost insane...

I'm surprised Ayu hasn't ended up in a psycho-ward like Mariah Carey...

Oh yeah, and Koda too...but I think avex is just trying to get her to surpass Ayu in singles though. But to me Kuu isn't as good as Ayu (IMO). There's something about her I don't really like aside from that horrible Kuu-got-fat nightmare I had. LOL...In my dream, I saw Kuu & I was like "wow even though I dun like her I am like 'this' close to an actual Japanese celebrity. I'll just pretend it's Ayu"...Next thing I know Kuu turns around and she's like 200+ pounds with all these thingz all over her face. Eww...

But yeah, I think we should cut stars like Ayu & Kuu some slack though.

If that's the case, then I'd hope she would come to the sensible conclusion of taking a break. Hell, she acts like if she takes a little break she's going to just fall off the charts forever. Even Seiko Matsuda and Akina Nakamori are still releasing albums for god's sake. Really, she's not Wonder Woman, I think her ego is getting a little too big. CDL 05-06 is a perfect example, in which she forgot the words to half the songs she sang. You really have to question now if she's making music because she wants to, or if it's because of external pressures or whatever.

It's from TeamAyu, couldn't be more real. I'd like to ask you to read all the posts here before deciding wether you are going to be extremely disappointed or see that this is not at all very disappointing.

i'm not dissapointed at the cover .. it bothers me the fact that THEY ARE ALMOST THE SAME... you have to be blind to not see it.. its really lame to do this.. i mean C'MON... AVEX just want our money.. and ayu did wrong allowing this to happend... thats why i'm not gonna get this single

after all why would people want all 3.. you can just donwload the scans and print them x_x

I can see they are the same, I stated that in an earlier post. Why would avex not be interested in money, that's what their business is all about, it has to be taken into account when judging things. It's sad but true. I can see they are similar but I can't see where the problem in that is, in my eyes they will look gorgeous together, lined up on a shelf. Ok, I can understand that some people might want 3 entirely different covers, I think doing it this way is great, so would having 3 entirely different pictures also have been.

Noone knows how much control Ayu has over her releases, my suspision is that she agreed on this release quite willingly because I think them being similar is sort of the point, it would NOT have been hard to make 3 covers with entirely different poses, but they decided NOT to, it does not have to be only because they are cheap (which I know they are anyway ).

That comment seemed it was directed at me, (But was probably just a general comment) so i'll say that my favorite album is MY STORY and I enjoy some of her songs off (miss)understood, so i'm not afraid of changes, really. I don't care if she changes, but at least put some effort into composition and image. In MY humble opinion, ayu's too rushed and we're not seeing quality.

but for other people, sometimes I don't see that. Sometimes it's just a simple turn of a head that's the difference and that's it. :/ I don't see the big deal. It's like.. didn't we see this coming? That's how they've been doing the CD+DVD releases before~

Technically, this is a bit of a first with zooming out with each version as well as a bit of facial movement~

[Sometimes CD+DVDs are just like.. members of a group with the people switched around.. or like, same pictures but different colors.. or something..]

I still love the cover. And the fact that they're also giving out posters is awesome! :]


IMHO, if you want variety in your covers, check out TOKIO. They've done consective quadruple cover releases since their last album~ and they've all been different [I think]. You gotta give it to Johnny's.. x.x oi. xD

i don't think people are scared of her changes...
it's just,....when B&D & (m)u released, avex surely know that fans don't like her changes
why still continue with it?

I DO remember of how avex stated that they're going to make this 40th single Special
and if they call these covers are special, then someone better shoot max's head & the rest of the photographer & cover art designer staffs....
so it's not fans are over-reacting, but it because we are disappointed with the word SPECIAL that avex has been saying....

first, the 3A-side thing that being rumored, and avex didn't state that it was 1A faster, so fans has been hyped up with the 3A-side thing, & when it turned out to be 1A, fans are disappointed
but in return, avex said that this 40th single is special

& here now, the covers.....
fans are disappointed again

so how could this still be called special, if fans has been disappointed twice?

Startin' wasn't too good and it sold 110k. This single is definitely better and will likely sell more than Startin.

B&D wasn't at first
people was surprised by the first preview that ayu's going gospel
& after the full song's out, people start to complained
until a couple of weeks that has makes the song grew slowly on AHS members that they stop complaining
& you said it clearly that Startin, another genre changes that she made (well not really a change, but Upbeat Rock like Startin' rarely sung by ayu), flopped 110k sales count

the cover is beautiful!
& the variations for other versions suck because they all look exactly the same!
one example, Ai's FRIENGER CD & CD+DVD variations also has the zoom-in-zoom-up different, but the facial expression are different for each & that's why no one's complaining

& I'm surely remember that avex clearly stated that for the 40th single, they 're going to make it special, unless I'm wrong & I'm sorry if I'm wrong
