I think it's because the B&D performance was THE 'SPECTACLE' of the concert.

I mean, it kinda all 'built up' to it. :/
It was like "Yeah. I'm wearing a jillion rhinestones. I'm Bold. I'm Delicious. Deal with it >["

And I do understand that the alterna and possibly Born to Be.. outfits would've worked as well.. but perhaps it was decided like, before the concert started..

"Yeah. I'm so making that the cover."
