I thought that this PV was really good. I think that Ayu does a lot better with sexy Ayu than she does with cutesy or glam Ayu. Even though I like cutesy and glam Ayu as well, but what sells sells.

The people in her PVs are necessarily ALL Americans. My friend CeS said there were all kinds of people in this PV (1 Love). The prostitute that was being auctioned off in the PV, for example, was Russian. CeS's friend on the set (one of the other masked people) was from Venezuela.

From what I can tell it's usually "artistic" ayu (your "muse") and "business" ayu who's working & trying to get something accomplished; the very serious- and structurally-minded one. (In the Fly high PV we see off-shot edited in as the audience-side ayu is looking over the set with the other staff, for example).
Yea, I should get to work doing a thorough investigation of the two-Ayu motif. Should become feasible within the next few days...

I think I'll review the PVs and classify them according to how she uses the two Ayus. I'll watch the interviews and see what I can pick up from them too. This would make quite an interesting chat topic.

I just received my CD+DVD and watched the PV.
Good PV, like alterna, it is a bit scary, I don't know why but the clown is scary like in alterna.

I think it may be the first time there is japanese "culture" in Ayu PVs with the otaku. We don't see so many japanese in Ayu's PV (except dancers)
Interesting. (actually it made me laugh)

I don't think this PV is great because I don't like sexy Ayu, I don't like her acting sexy but as Immel said it was not the core of the PV message.

Like some people, I feel like it was just lacking something. Something you can't really explain, but even though you'd think POLE DANCING, FREAKS, AUCTION, CLOWN GUY, ROCK would make it extremely exciting, the whole thing lacked punch. Ayu's videos aren't among my favorites, and I think it's because the imagery and the pace don't really match the music itself. Perhaps this scenery would have worked better for another song? Also, I'm no cinematography snob, but some of the angles just didn't seem well executed. It was MUCH too claustrophobic and awkward to know what was going on, even if that was the intention. I'm also a little sad that they put so much time and effort into designing the bills used in the auction, yet we wouldn't be able to tell if they were plain old slips of randomly colored paper.

I did enjoy the beast-man, the glutton, the gymnast, and the otaku though. Pretty interesting melange of characters.

I liked the PV very much.

The theme was something not quite Ayuish and Ayu looking and acting sexy hit me, she was awesome

There were some really interesting characters indeed, like the big eater, gross

In conclusion, this PV was better than JEWEL IMO. Have to watch momentum again.

ayu's position as "musician" is a bit too much
norah jones or john williams are musician

but i prefer to say ayu as a "singer"

I do have to agree with you there. (Did this PV cost a lot of money?) Now that you mention it, the PV did seem like the crew took a long time to create the smallest details.
