if d vocal is all in centre channel, then u might b able 2 get a decent reduction.

but since theres usually a lot of effects placed on vocals (e.g. stereo delay, reverb, chorus) that widens d vocal to d left n right channels, then ur gonna b left with some of that.

2 remove vocals u can try removing d centre channel. depends on wat program u use.

ableton live:
use "utility" n widen the stereo by 200% (max). this gets rid of everythin in d centre channel.

goldwave:
look in d menus for vocal reduction feature, using "simple cancellation" preset usually works ok.

when u try to remove vocals, u r also gonna b removin some of the music as well.
