That's a hundred thousand lower than what E=MC2 did on its first week. Streisand surprised me. I didn't expect to see her that high.

Off the top of my mind, I'm sure Memoirs sold more than Glitter but less than Charmbracelet. It's not bad sales. Let me go and look for the official numbers to put it in perspective.

Edit: It was actually more than 100,000. So the drop is much lower than I thought. It's not bad but I expected higher. Then considering how well other albums did that week it wasn't that bad. I just wanted another number one for her. She's tied with Janet.

Memoirs: 168,000
MC2: 463,000
Emancipation: 404,000
Charmbracelet: 241,200

I think its that low cuz it's only been a year and an half since E=MC^2. also, the album was leaked a week before the release date. Some people may have wanted to buy it to see if it's good, but listened to it and decided not to buy it. (true story!)

I really hope it eventually goes at least platinum =/

I love Mariah's new album. <3 It's not as good as E=MC2 but still great. My favorite songs from the album are Obsessed, H.A.T.E.U., *****a Gon Now, Standing O, More Than Just Friends and Obsessed (Cahill Radio Mix).

...and I don't actually like the album cover too much... Fanmades are better.

when i first saw the MOAIA cover online, i did not like it, but seeing it in real life is much better. i kinda like it now. oh, im just too smitten over the whole thing

Just bought my copy of MC's new album and the box set



I replaced TEOM and E=MC2 with my digipak versions because it was a little bit too tight for MOAIA to fit in there... plus the E=MC2 CD casing has a chipped corner

I really enjoy listening to Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. Very nice album, indeed. I like all the songs on this album and Mariah sounds very good. I downloaded this album and I loved it so much I'm going to buy it when I have a chance. My favourite songs on this album are *****a Gon' Know, Obsessed, H.A.T.E.U, Candy Bling, Angels Cry, I Want To Know What Love Is, More Than Just Friends and Up Out My Face. :p

That makes the lyrics sound weird. When you think about it she is singing "I can't wait to having a typical emotional upset you". Or is it just the title that means "Having A Typical Emotional Upset"?
