Actually I like some of the single tracks a lot better here.

I do also really like the positive tone of the album. It's nice. Some of the songs are like, unoriginal, but they still make me feel good listening to them.

I'm really interested to see how some of these songs will pan out live. Like Fight Together or ONLY ONE.

Anyway, I'm sure the energy in the tour will be awesome.

As much as this style seems different...it's still really Namie to me. How some of the songs have that simple feel to them, and then of course how dancy they are, and some are still a bit funky.

Also happy with the few ballads.

I'm a little iffy about her vocals though. Her english vocals are kinda meh. But whatev.

^ she already did Fight Together live on her latest tour tho :p

I love the album, it's very summery and lighthearted, and sounds much more cohesive than P<F.
Let's Go and Hot Girls are great songs, especially Let's Go, and I actually like Go Round and Tempest now.

Original version of YEAH-OH >>> album ver. it sounds weird lol

Not sure what my favorite song is... Probably still Fight Together or maybe Let's go

Did she? Wow I don't remember it lol

And yeah, original version forever. Although it's fun for me to try to sing this one. I think it's still my favorite of the album..

I'm happy with the album. I did not care for P<F.

oh just occurred to me. I think Hot Girls would be better as a koda song. It's kind of out of place on this album to me somehow.

everytime i listen to Namie, it makes me sad that i just can't listen to her songs, because i just simply can't stand that music style..but.... i ADORE her voice so much! And i couldn't resist downloading Uncontrolled....weird thing that on a few songs I skipped through them a few times and whenever i skipped to other part of the song i would hear the same sounds, tempo, arrangment and lyrics....what.....must be just a coincidence...lol however the only song I am hooked on is ONLY YOU, there's something about the flow of melody that catches me. I liked Tempest way before the album and um her other ballads are quite listenable, because there're not much of the goooodddamn computer generated sounds because they just sound so empty to me, without any feeling.

Does she have something with normal instruments done? Not ballads? Anyone could recomend something?

I still don't get why more people don't like Get Myself Back. I've always loved Break It and the album version doesn't change it~

Hot Girls is such a mess.

my favorite non-single tracks from this album has to be let's go and hot girls. gonna pretend the english version of go round and yeah-oh does not exist. I think the english tracks this time round are to please the asian crowd outside Japan but i hope she will do less full english tracks next time round..
i'm still fond of this album cos of the great singles we had that save this album and the great album covers

What an amazing surprise after coming home from the gym!

DL now, I'll give my opinion after it's finished. (60%)

EDIT: After hearing Hot Girls in HQ, it just sounds sort of cheap to me. Her vocals sound good, but the beat sounds like one of those free sample beats you would get in a home audio-editing package.

That's an insult to Heidi.

Heidi should be so lucky to get even anywhere were Namie stood before. ...

ANYWAYS,

Uncontrolled is so far the most surprising J-Pop Album I've heard in years and here’s why i think that way:

You simply can’t deny the creativity that was put into making that album but it follows every rule a good and solid pop album should obey to. So Uncontrolled is balanced. You get your creativity AND standard bubble pop (hip-pop if you like). Few pop albums can do that.

Either you’re pop or R&B. There is no AND option for this. You have to decide. The R’n’B aspects of her past albums were washed away in Uncontrolled. The production is more dancey and less grinding.

It sounds more western with each progressing beat. That could be a good or bad thing for an artist in Japan but to be honest, Namie sold MILLIONS of records. She doesn’t care if this bombs. She simply did what she liked. Was Avex behind her with everything she wanted to put in this album? Doubtful. Are they going to slap her hand if she fails? Doubt that too.
Hello? This is Avex we are talking about.

There are a few Artists - who shall be not be named … Utada *cough* - who try to give their songs a western touch and fail. Some succeed but a huge part fails.

Her English is enjoyable! IT’S ADORABLE! She’s not a native but we heard worse.
Mika Nakashima tried to do something different in singing a whole song in english and it was TERRIBLE! nananana … crap your hans … nananan … bum … crap

Name, as an artist, evolved to a level no queen shall touch in the near future.
I always thought "Uhhh ... Ayu is so special. She's using gay's and transgender people in her videos. SHE BROKE RULES" but ... those are just videos. The sound is ALWAYS the same. Pop, Rock, Ballad … that’s her whole songbook. She can’t do more. If she tries, she fails. Ayu can’t do dance music the way she’s now. She [Ayumi] needs to take a break and come back with actual stuff to sing about! She’s more a singer/songwriter and should explore the things she can do. Tsubasa Tsubasa - KIMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII … can’t hear that anymore.

[LOVE HER THOUGH! That’s not going to be a “I HATE AYUMI [NOW]. COME BACK [OLD] AYUMI! post. I simply don’t get her now.]

Name took a risk with WAF and look what happened. AMURABOOM! She knew she had to change something so she did what felt right and not what could sell more and people believe what she’s selling now. SHE HAD A DOG ON A SINGLE COVER FOR DOG’s SAKE and people bought it because the songs were THAT good! lmfao
That can’t go on forever but so far it looks promising.

As for comparing P<F with Uncontrolled .. you can’t do that. It’s like comparing grapes with a duck. They aren’t even the same “species”. Too different to be compared. You can like one more than the other BUT YOU CAN’T COMPARE THEM!

ONE THING I didn’t like. What’s up with her in hats? She should stick with Patricia. Namie in hats that’s something I really dislike. I mean those little hats in her PVs. Yuck. HATE THEM!

To come to an end of this, Uncontrolled is amazing. I love it more than P<F but love them both cause I love her.

I drank two glasses of wine while I wrote this so if you find any “stains” … blame it on the cheap looking winyard I bought this from.

Anyway. I LOVE YOU GUYS! I love Ayumi. I love Namie. Good night.

lol It fails because it's actually original work which in hikki's case is harder to listen to, and not just copies of popular songs that have already made it big.

And, there is an "and" option. You just have to do it right.

Where is the creativity exactly? Very few songs on this album are particularly creative. They may be good, but creative? Not so much.

Just what I was thinking. It's a good but highly generic album.
