^ No promotion is to blame and that would fall on Avex's lap. But since she is being dropped by the label, they really had no incentive to promote it. I believe this was probably a contractually stipulated release before they could officially drop her; often times artists, at least in the US, release Greatest Hits albums to fulfill a contract agreement about the number of albums they need to release and its much easier to push out a greatest hits than create a new album.

avex probably figure a long time ago that OLIVIA's not as profitable as during her NANA heydays which explained little if not no promotion given to her after the NANA phrase died out
I never see them giving her promo for Trinka Trinka , Sailing free & let alone for GREATEST HITS too other avex artistes also suffer the same fate , it's not just OLIVIA that experiences this

Some of you who have her in facebook or twitter or whatever, should post a comment to her saying she would have more success if she released her music on the US. I really would love to hear what she has to say to that question. I want her to be successful.

I don't know where this 'dropped' news is coming from - she has said herself the greatest hits doesn't mean the end of her career with avex, and that she would be releasing a bunch of material after it. Through her facebook you can see she is working on new material.

Avex has a bunch of artists who sell around the level Olivia has. I don't think she's in jeopardy at this point.
From the GREATEST HITS album, I really liked Ballerina & Space Halo. Can someone recommend me an album from her that has songs like these? Kind of depressing/sad like. The only albums I have from her are The Cloudy Dreamer & Trinka Trinka. Also the NANA songs.
