The sales are not bad! I really enjoy the packaging for the compilation even though I own everything already. It would have been nice if avex released ASB earlier, maybe early July, because I was really excited when the album was announced and it was kind of an afterthought when it finally came in the mail.

Anyway, I don't think we have seen the last Gold certification for Ayu. She needs to stop releasing things every year! She should take some time to conceptualize her albums and create partnerships to showcase her songs like Hikki and Namie did in order to get big hits and sell large amounts of albums. :]

the sales are a little to be desired, but at the same time, its a themed best and not really a best... so they could be right on par.

little to no CM's.
No tie in.
No lives (besides the concert)

they could of done more if they wanted a number 1.
They could of even released it a week early, where there would of been no compention whats so ever.

The promotion was limited to Shibuya.... i.e.only 2 billboards in Japan and one truck (running in ONLY in Shibuya streets)
For me that's no promotion lol

You're right it's not. If Avex wanted to, they could promote the pants off this release and create hype around it. It's basic investment, you've gotta spend money to get money. If that's all the half-hearted effort Avex is going to put in in her future releases, they'll just reap the sales they sow.

To be honest I think the main reason of releasing ASB is You & Me , I think they don't want Ayu to release a summer single when her sales are declining , So the chance for No.1 single will be harder , And they don't want to break her number one streak , The album did more than well for avex's needs and made a very good profits , why they would want a single with low sales and profits and breaking her long record ?

Please guys don't judge , after all that's my opinion
