I hope Ayu comes out with something really memoriable, but from the preview of crossroad, the song just seems to be "ok", there's nothing special to it.

But that's just a few seconds preview, so my judgement might be a bit early, we'll have to wait for the full preview i guess...

I'm hoping she'll take her time and not just release the 49th & 50th single in a short period of time. It'll be like "I'm not done with the 49th single and now there's a 50th??!"

I think they can do something like...

Plan A:
49th single "crossroad" or "crossroad/???" will be released in September.
50th single "???" will be released at the same time as the tour final.

Plan B:
49th single and 50th single will be released before the tour final.

Plan C:
49th single "crossroad" or "crossroad/???" will be released in September.
50th single "???" will be released after the tour final, as like "No way to say" single released. (Ayu performed No way to say in 30th single tour, but the single was released after the tour.

1 LOVE, JEWEL, and momentum were produced very well, as those were the songs to be included in the "mini-album" (most speculate).

Until that Day... and Kiss o' Kill are both harsher in production. They are good songs, but don't sound as "polished" as 1 LOVE, JEWEL and momentum.

Don't get me wrong, I love Secret. But I can't help but think how much better even the good songs could have been.

And yes, the title track "Secret" is boring.

I love both the album tracks and single tracks. I generally love all songs on the album (even Beautiful Fighters and Secret) though there was a couple I felt were a bit so-so (momentum and Born To Be...; but they're good songs anyhow!).
Since the head phones on my computer are all wonky and all I can hear from the "crossroad" chaku-uta is background buzz and some kind of ticking/dripping whatever, I have no opinion yet. And I'm planning to not listen to "crossroad" until at least a MQ leak gets out.
Chaku-utas aren't my preference: hated the chaku-utas for GREEN and BALLAD; but listening to them in full, I love them SO MUCH! ♥♥

Totally agree. And this opinion comes from not knowing what the singles were prior to listening. Startin/Born to be... and BLUE BIRD were good but momentum, JEWEL, Kiss o Kill, 1 LOVE, and It was.... were just incredible.

About the "rushed" thing, I honestly don't get that argument at all. Looking at how her release schedule has been since the beginning, you can say that pretty much ALL her albums were rushed. It wasn't until GUILTY that she really started slowing down. In all honesty, since I prefer her older works I think it's good that she's going back to releasing things within months of each other. If stuff like MOON/blossom (which I've been loving ever since I received it yesterday ) is the result then I'm all for it. Hell, maybe since things are moving so fast again, CREA will hop on for the ride.

the song is boring and sounds unoriginal. I would probably like secret as a whole if she kept it as a mini album. no idea why this is brought up though.

I just think that she should release the next two singles before october if she wants to keep this as a consecutive single release pattern.

I believe all.night.raver brought it up as an example of what he thinks is a rushed ayu work that couldve been better. And that he hopes the singles aren't like this

Although I though a lot of her stuff is rushed in past so I don't see why this matters.

I sat bring this single on. Although releasing within 3 months is a bit impossible if she is to maintain her streak.

Omg yes, and I hate when people compare momentum to M and say things like "momentum is M part 2" or "momentum is like M plus 100%."

lol most of all of her singles / albums could be rushed. She release an album and a couple of singles, every year since 1998.
Ok some songs and albums (just GUILTY imo) are kinda rushed but her songs are way better than songs released after months or years, sometimes.

We have to understand that her recent singles have been released some two months after an announcement by Avex is made, so "crossroad" may not even be released until like sometime mid-late September or even October...

And then, by October, they would announce Ayu's 50th single, maybe for a December release date...

I agree on the tracks for Secret being rushed except for the song Secret itself. That song was gorgeous. Sept. 1? If I were avex I'd keep an eye out for AKB48's Watarirouka Hashiritai's new single. Their singles have been selling like crap compared to Ayu but who knows how much more popular AKB48 will have grown by that time.

AKB48 is also set to release a single on October 27th and also another one sometime in December; both releases do not have a title yet, but we will have to see about that. Avex might have to keep an eye out on that, as recently they're selling HOT stuff there.

PLEASE let crossroad be like You were... / BALLAD in the sense that I can grab the damn Type C to get all the freaking songs. ;__________; And the October single too. Rent + food > Ayu, sry2say ;;

(By the way, if you want a truly rushed album? NEXT LEVEL was pretty damn rushed in comparison to Secret. It was like Days / GREEN and then Rule / Sparkle and then OMGWTFNEWALBUMWUT. Probably why it took so long for me to love it)
