Really!? Is Hurricane Venus (the single song) only digital release on Aug 2nd? I tried googling the album and couldn't find the leak/download. Just for the single song "Hurricane Venus"

BoA will be transforming as an actress through appearing in an upcoming major Hollywood movie.

The movie is set in New York and is a dance movie directed by Duane Adler, who also did movies like ‘Step Up’ and ‘Save The Last Dance’. It is known that while he was writing the movie scenario, Duane Adler had already written with BoA in mind as one of the cast to the movie.

The producer to the movie will famous producer Robert Cort who produced over 55 movies which include ‘Jumanji’ and ‘Runaway Bride’. Cort and Adler are known to have worked together before in ‘Save The Last Dance’.

BoA will be the main female lead to the movie, showing off various new and powerful dance performances.

Meanwhile, the filming of the movie will kick in early next year in the States. And for the time being, BoA will be coming back with her 6th Korean album ‘Hurricane Venus’ and promoting the album in Korea.

At first I thought this was about that movie that Jay Park is doing but this is separate from that apparently. It comes from a reliable source but we'll see. BoA has a tendency to be announced for something and then she drops out. This article also I noticed doesn't have a quote from SM. A little strange but we'll see whether or not SM said yes or no.

i'm very interested in this movie role. i hope it's true, but still, BoA's not fluent in english enough for a lead role in a movie. it'd be good exposure for her so i wouldn't mind so much.

Maybe the movie doesn't have many talking parts? lol That's my ideal dance flick, less talking/drama/romance blah blah blah and more dancing. It'll be very interesting if this were true... and since the producers are well known, there's bound to be a lot of exposure for BoA. It could be the thing that breaks her into the English market.

True, she has never played in any dramas or movie. Except that she dubbed for that animated movie that I don't remember the name of... Other than that, she doesn't really have any acting experience. Plus, we rarely if not never see her in variety shows either.

When I thinking about it, Jackie Chan is far from being fluent but he's still the lead in so many American movies (although his awesome moves are distracting lol). If people can understand him, surely they'll understand BoA right?

But I think he's awesome lol....brainwashed since watching him as a little kid. Plus he's a singer too and I didnt even know that until like last year...I was like REALLY? lmao.

^ Jackie is the best! His accent IS more obvious than BoA's. Jackie has the typical Chinese accent. The same one as my parents lol (although my parents also have a Cambodian accent haha). And yeah, he's a terrific singer!

Back on topic: I hope BoA will appear on Strong Heart. I'd love to see her funny side more!

Have you noticed that with Jackie the characters that he plays always have a reason worked into the script why the english isn't perfect? He's always an immigrant if the story is set in the US. It's gotten to the point where you don't need to give his character much background. It's always assumed that his character is not from the US. They can do that for BoA if her english isn't strong enough.
