She has a strong influence all over Japan and even overseas.
She is known for breaking Matsuda Seiko's record of most consecutive #1 singles.
She is a well known fashion icon, making countless appearances on fashion magazines.
As far as I know, the japanese artist with most fans overseas (Yes, not even AKB48 has that much overseas fans, as far as I know).
Only with 3 years of career, she made a concert in the biggest domes in Japan (Dome Tour 2001).
If that isn't legendary, I don't know what it is.
