While I enjoy her older materials, I definitely enjoy her newer stuff as well. I still listen to STEP you, alterna, and Pride on repeat. I love to sing HEAVEN. I'm anticipating this album just as much as I anticipated her works in 2003, my first year I was into her, and one of my favorites.

I thought STEP you/is this LOVE? was okay, Fairyland was kinda bad, HEAVEN was okay, and Bold & Delicious...let's not go there.
I definitely prefer her older stuff.

I like her older stuff and her newer stuff. As much as I love M, Evolution, Surreal, and etc, I don't think I can stand another song just like them. When I heard Bold&Delicious, I went "eh?", but it grew against my will.

I guess one of the reason I like her newer stuff is that I feel it's not pressured, it's not produced, it contained great emotions, but it didn't contain the bitterness that all her songs contained in 2001. I think there's a point where I can't compare her older stuff with her newer stuff. For example, between LOVEppears Duty there was a change, and fans reacted like we did right now, but then it became known. I just realize, I can't compare the past style with present, because they are too different to compare, and the setting is so different. If it's almost exact same two songs, then I can compare.

Although this doesn't mean I like every song she released. I actually didn't like Alterna much. But Heaven, Pride, Will, and Is it LOVE are my favourite Ayu songs.

I love her old and new stuff. I mean, of course there are some songs I don't like as much, but I don't think I hate anything of them. I think it's always a good thing to try something a bit different. I geuss some people just don't like this new thing she is putting out.

Well Honesty I maybe be one of the People that hates her new stuff. I always find my self liking track number 2 which is the other A-side or even the B-side of her latest singles. Track 1 has just been horrid.

I seem to like most of her albums, and each album usually has a song i LOVE... its pretty consistent, so i wouldnt say i have a preference over old/new stuff.

the only album that i cant think of a song i LOVE is Loveppears, but there were a lot of songs i really liked on there, so its kinda balanced :p

the songs are very good, all of them, but still, i maybe am the only ayu fan that concerns about her titles, i don't really like the facts that she does the "pretty-big-changes" on her titles, as an ayu fan back then, i was really in LOVE with her titles, almost all of them. and most of her titles this year displeased me, starts with STEP you & is this LOVE?, for me, the titles are crap, some people say that 'hey, they're only titles' but hey, titles concern me, i might even like a song better if it has a good title. but then again when the single came out i REALLY REALLY REALLY like it

also, the dual-title stuff. i never liked them, ayu used to release singles with names like 'A', 'H', '&', which are really cool and inspiring and the 'c/w' and 'a-side / a-side' thing are killing me, they made me think that ayu has lost herself, but nevertheless, her music stands still, and i'm still in LOVE with her music.

actually, i never (WILL never EVER) hate ayu, she's everything to me, but as i've mentioned, some things are really bothering me, the titles, and not forget to mention; the new-album title and tracklist, they're so un-ayu, the titles become so common, but then again, they're only titles...

conclusion: i LOVE ayu, forever...

I like her "My Story" songs, but I'm not that fond of the (miss) understood era. Just didn't appeal to me. Her newer singles are poppity pop pop to the extreme (something I'm still trying to get use to), so they don't grab my attention. Except Beautiful Fighters (and maybe Startin'). I used to hate it, but now I'm in LOVE with the song. That computerized cheerleading chant is GOD.

She seems to be enjoying her current direction, so more power to her.
