Yeah but it needs to be on TV atleast two weeks before release to generate a buzz and promote the single.

Well, I don't think you can just randomly get chosen like some contest..

I think it's like an ad they put out but on the site.. like an online Avex classified ad xD

As a former film student you are making it sound way to easy. I am suprised that they are cutting it so close on the filming of the PVs - though this isn't the first time. (Remember the 3 PVs in 3 days for My Story?) To put it into perspective, when I make just an OPV I can sometimes spend weeks on getting the editing just perfect - but this is for a major music video(possibly two?) and they are going to have much less time than that. Not saying that you can't come up with a great product in a short amount of time-you can-but it certainly doesn' t help it any and it makes me feel bad for the crew working on that kind of schedule.

I was once an extra on Alias and was there for 20 hours just to shoot what ended up being roughly 3 minutes of film. But Alias, as always, looks awesome on screen and the reason why is they take for freaking ever to shoot everything and then edit it etc etc. It's not so simple as a day or two of shooting and editing and then boom you've got a TV show. Same goes for any PV.

I should have clarified and said same goes for any GOOD PV. Because you can make a PV in that short amount of time, just usually it's not going to be very good. Just take a look at the quality difference between the videos About You, Humming 7/4, and Walking Proud compared to the rest of the My Story videos. They aren't BAD videos, but I don't think anyone ranks them near Ayu's best and those were all ones shot in one day each just a few weeks before the album came out - you can definitely see a quality difference.

It was NOT uncalled for. I made a statement that i BELIEVE that a PV with lots of peoplke in it will be worthless. Just like the "Humming" PV. I hate these kind of PVs and I have the right to state it.
