Thoughts on "fated" preview

Actually from what I've seen from this preview she couldn't exactly work on a rock ballad but she had to work on something with ballad/mid-tempo elements. The movie looks like a traditional/horror movie so probably she was kinda restricted on how she could work on this song.

And I wouldn't worry about not having rock songs. Ayu loves rock music so we'll probably get something in fall/winter. The movie sounds fairly interesting. Inoe Mao [HYD main female actress] has a part of this movie and she has proven that her acting skills rock.

I think it's okay. Her vocals are amazingly good though. I won't know until I hear the whole thing though...One thing is for certain though, I'm not getting the same excitement vibes that I had for the Bold & Delicious preview and that isn't a good sign for me personally.

I think that the song has potential. The melody isn't too typical of an Ayu song, and there's interesting guitar-soloness in it. :O

For most, the PVs will probably make or break these songs.

I think I know EXACTLY how you feel. ^^ I wasn't so excited for a preview since... Well, quite some time. xD I actually have to keep myself from listening to it over and over again... (I actually don't want to get too excited, though it's difficult not to. ^^a)

Somehow it's a little between "It was" and "Secret" for me. It has the mid-tempo rock from "It was" and the live feeling and emotion from "Secret".

The song preview sounds different..before I thought it would be a song like is this love? but it turns out to be completely different. This song sounds like its from the i am.../RAINBOW era...I love it so far

fated already sounds just A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! Like a Moments/It was combination, I think I'll love hit, glitter/fated is definitly going to be a great single!!!!!!! and I won't wonder if it will sell more than BLUE BIRD...though sales are not what they used to... but glitter and fated from the preview really got me excited with the single.

uhh....not too impressed with the song......sob sob i really wanted it to be like is this love? but i'm not surprised considering the song is for a love movie, it really wouldn't match i suppose....so far i like glitter more.....

Sounds lovely!! Great potential, can't wait to hear the full version! I find it really cool watching the movie trailer with it. There have been times when I've been at the cinema watching trailers going "I wonder what it'd be like to hear an Ayu song in this kind of atmosphere..." So this is especially cool

Well, the people who thought it'd be like is this LOVE?/alterna need to remember that this will be the ending to a probably-sad movie. :|

yeah once again i feel this new single will not be great, as ayu is following her same old "Ill recycle my old sounds into new ones" theme. i love ayu so much, but i have low hopes. I pray im wrong. i really do. but as long as others like it, then im glad.

Actually I think this melody IS Fresh! It's not like BLUE BIRD in which DAI popped into my mind at once, or like fairyland that was remarkably like angel's song OR glitter in which indepedent popped into my head.

Why this is not the first A-side is beyond me and now I'm really hoping it's going to get at least a little more promotion than usual.

I don't think these are neccesarily the final arrangements, but I like the acoustic sound of the drums, it seems more raw than the usual rock/pop ballads she does (form f.ex MY STORY).

Also I think if this movie turns out to be a hit (which is likely as it's by a pretty famous director ^_^), maybe we'll see this single have a longer chart time than her usual recent releases.

I hope the people looking for something a little new will be satisfied. It's still pop music and she's not evoloving quickly, but I think this may turn out a little different in some way. We'll have to wait and see...
