I think only in henshin sequences, where her eyes are really large and defined are a bit like Ayus.

I never connected them any other way, I don't think they're that alike...

haha.. this is fun xD but i think they don't look alike.. And speacially the part because Usagi always depended on other.. I think Ayu is not like that!

hm Sailor Moon is pretty old...in Japan even oldern than we would think
She was a role model for the "Magical Girl" Series and most probably for the behaviour of Japanese Teenage Girls...so Ayu resembles the other Girls not Sailor Moon^^

Honestly, as much as I am obsessed with Sailor Moon, I really never drew any connections to Ayu....except for instances like that pic AyumiHamasaki01 posted, with that classic pose.

Anyway, I made that Sailor Ayu pic a loooong time ago and I can't remember why. xD Probably just because I wanted to combine my two favorite things.

When i was a child i was fool for that!!

But I didn't like so much the carachter of Usagi..and my heart don't want to see any common points with Ayu!

I've always kinda associated Ayu with Usagi...I'd probably die if Ayu ever got to do something for Naoko Takeuchi the way she did for Akira Toriyama. Especially if it resulted in another caricature...and although Toriyama is superior to Takeuchi in terms of smexy-anime guys, Takeuchi RULES sovereign in the bishojo-realm.

What am I hinting at?

Naoko would draw a BETTER and much more REALISTIC...and PRETTIER caricature than Akira did for Rule/Sparkle.

The only thing I find similar between Ayu and Sailor Moon is that heart-shaped thingy with wings. (Ayu's USB / Sailor Moon's Eternal make-up transform broch):

Now everyone who pre-ordered Ayu's new album in USB format can use it to transform!! LOL.

I love Sailor Moon, but I never really connected the two... But now reading this and seeing everything I think everytime I will watch Sailor Moon and her henshins I'ma gonna go "Ayu henshin!~" and everyone is going to look at me funny xD I also agree with Aisha Angel that Miss Naoko would draw a faaaar better Ayu... :/

I imagine Ayu saying: "How would you like to see what death is like?" lololol xDD
