EDIT: Let me explain myself this way;
I'm learning French, and yesterday I got my first quiz of the new school semester back. The only mistake I made was typing out "Comment vas-tu?" as "Comment va-tu?" I got 1.5% off the total grade of the quiz for it. It's an almost superficial mistake that cost me a 100% grade, and extremely irritating. One thing is for damn sure, I'll never write out "Comment vas-tu?" wrong ever again. I know this isn't a school and we're not being graded, but this is an international message board in which the main language is English. We should help each other communicate if we can. I didn't correct her in a mean way, and if it some how reads condescending or negative, that is mistake and was not my intention at all.
Lol its okay i just wanted to poke fun at you sorry if you felt like i was! and i agree, we should help each other communicate

I hate that mild sarcasm is so lost online. I am pretty much always a smart ass, and that's always confusing people, lol.

In short though i got the impression that the army of soldiers represented ayu's fans and Timmy perhaps Avex? Esp the scene on the throne where she tries to leave/escape from Timmy, i feel like she was hoping the men(fans) would understand and help her down and away from the throne at the top of the pyramid(representation of her place in the music industry maybe?) However they just pushed her back up again as they didn't want her to leave...

Still not sure about the earlier scenes and the death though...

Off topic but Hatshepsut (what we know about her anyway) was a far more powerful and successful female monarch of Egypt than Cleopatra imo. Look her up if you like Egyptian history.=]
Not just hatshepsut but queen nefertiti/king neferneferu also had significance especially in running egypt through co-regency

Sorry i had to have my 2 cents worth with that it's terrific to see someone else who knows who the hell hatshepsut is

From my interpretation of the pv i had some sort of assassination theme running through my head; an uprising so to speak, killing the military leader...sort of like what's happening in libya atm. I must say the tear of blood was very sudden and unexpected in my point of view. I freaked out and had distressing dreams last sunday because of it

Someone in the other "BRILLANTE" thread said that she thinks the song itself was written to her fans.

If you use that vein of thought, in the video the men could represent the fans that are slowly suffocating and killing her creativity. Cleopatra killed herself because her own ambition not only lead to her ruin, but if she wasn't careful, it would have taken her people too. Ayu can either quit music and stop dealing with her fans to have true creative license, or her creativity can suffer and she can be beaten, but she keeps her fans, success, and ability to reach millions of people. The video can be a very avant-garde way of portraying this inner conflict she is feeling, while using Cleopatra as her simile.
