In the news this morning. Seiko will headline this years Kouhaku. In other words, she will be the last performer!

She is only the eight female artist ever to do this, and first time since 2004. A great honor.

The news source only listed a select few names. Misora Hibari (10 times, what a legend!), Miyako Harumi and Yashiro Aki.
But I did a quick Google search and found this website (in Japanese).

大トリ (ootori; large bird) is the term for closing act, while トリ (tori) is for the penultimate.

Here is the complete list:

I think Kaze Tachinu is one of her best tracks, actually the entire Kaze Tachinu album is quite good.

Songs like Nagisa no Balcony and Natsu no Tobira are still so fresh too
and Hadashi no Kisetsu, what a tune!

Hadashi no Kisetsu hands down. Aoi Sangosho is also a favorite, alongside SQUALL (the song and the album)

Natsu no Tobira is really fun too.

Seiko Matsuda Shows Her Mature Beauty in New Bra Commercial

Triumph International Japan’s new lingerie brand “FLORALE by Triumph” will be making its debut in June. The company has selected Seiko Matsuda as its model.

FLORALE by Triumph is aimed towards older women, in an effort to show their beauty. Seiko was chosen for the ad campaign because she is the same age as the target demographic and also because she represents beauty and glamour for that age set of women.

Of the shooting of the campaign, Seiko said that beautiful lingerie is important to women, and that doing this campaign made her happy as a woman. She admitted that she was nervous during the shoot at first, but enjoyed it in the end.
