-_- i don't see how songs like Wonderland and Catcher in the Light can't be remixed into Eurobeat songs. I seriously thought that Inspire wouldn't have any remixes because it's that borderline rock pop stuff, but i was wrong. Besides, they remixed Opening Run, why not Wonderland? The remixed Everlasting Dream, why not Catcher in the Light?
I don't see how this can be instantly labeled fake, other than a -few- remixes coming back from previous albums. People complain about Free & Easy being remixed again, but Appears was remixed as a eurobeat track twice. |

and...... if you check all the ayu-ro mix tracklist, you can see the MIX same name didn't appear more than twice on the same album I haven't seen so much [A Eurobeat Mix] [Euro-Power Mix] [Sweet Heart Mix] on the same ayu's eurodance albums, although the same remixers have done to different songs, they use different prefixes before the same suffix (for example: sometimes "A Eurobeat Mix" instead of "Eurobeat Mix", "A Eurosenti Mix" instead of "Eurosenti Mix"). repeating song is not the main point leading people to think it is faky, but tripeating or more to the MIX name in the same album's tracklist is really really strange ![]() + the album title is strange too... it should be at least "... SUPER EUROBEAT presents ..."

I would love to see it, but I think it's fake since it doesn't have that INSPIRE (energy inspire remix) on it.

The only thing i can say to chpsv is that i dont see why they have to keep on doing the same things they're doing. Just because a little bit of a change is taking place doesnt mean that it's automatically fake. I'm pretty indifferent on the whole remix album situation though; i really do hope that more come out and since My Story has been released i'm pretty sure more remix albums will start coming up. People seem to think that just because the last 3 didn't sell well they won't do it again, which i find to be a load of crap ('scuse my language) because it wouldn't make sense for them to make a remix album after Memorial Address unless Avex was seriously trippin. Now that My Story has been released they have 25 new songs to remix, as opposed to the 8 they had if they did the remix albums after Memorial Address. If anything, I don't see why avex WOULDNT do more remix albums, because it's been pointed out several times that Avex loves making money; why stop cd production if that's the case? |

That said, I like the appeal of the remix albums because there seems to be something for everyone. And yes, Avex likes making money. Although remix albums never sell as well as the studio albums, that doesn't mean they still aren't a substantial source of profits and aren't worth releasing. Besides just the remix albums, the remixes themselves can bring in profit, too. Many of them have been released on vinyl and CD single and get played in clubs all over the world. Many have been lisenced to appear on compliation albums. A lot of them get a lot of buzz -- what sticks in my mind most is some of the Ayu Trance remixes that are regarded by many trance fans as some of the greatest remixes ever. So this very well could be true, and I'm hoping it is, but I'm the type of person who waits for confirmation before I make any final judgements.

Avex, please be greedy. I'm more than willing to pay for MY STORY ayu-ro/ayu-mi-x/trance.

Hmm... I thought Eurobeat was pretty dead (as in a dead trend). I wish Ayumi tried something new with her remixes. Like a funky trip-hop remix album.

The entire M EP (M "Above & Beyond Typhoon Dub", AUDIENCE "Darren Tate Instrumental", Boys & Girls "Push Instrumental Dub", UNITE! "Airwave Remix", among others) is considered pretty essential among trance fans, and it's made a few ayu fans in the UK. I'm not sure how well liked Connected is (since the East West track "The Love i Lost", which is what the music is from, never got very popular from what I understand).
I want this to be true, but I doubt it is. Mostly the sorts of details we're getting with this initial report, not so much the tracklist & title. I mean come on, who didn't think that the RMX WORKS series was fake, just cuz of the title? Avex DOES throw us a fast ball every now & then. And yeah, the fact that Eurobeat is kind of over makes me doubt it a bit too, but there was that Euro compilation with the INSPIRE remix on it, so i guess ya just never know.

Connected is pretty well known amongst standard trance fans mainly because of the fact that Ayu worked with Ferry Corsten (aka System F) on it - one of the most popular trance DJs and remixers of today. His collaboration with Ayu has been mentioned by him a few times, the last time that sticks with me is the mention of it on his DVD that came with his latest CD "Right of Way." It's pretty impossible to be more than a casual trance fan and not have heard an Ayu trance remix somewhere, especially "M" (notably the Above & Beyond mix) and "Trauma." I would say those are the definite most popular two that make Ayu fans out of trance fans. Trauma did it for me. |

Yeah, Ayu/Avex should tried some different genre remixes even if they'll flopped, well they won't now, losing money is painful and wrong.

I don't think Eurobeat is necessarily dead... It's more marketable than trance in Japan, I'm pretty sure... If Eurobeat wasn't so big, Avex wouldn't continue to make those SUPER EUROBEAT compilations...

Thanks for the info about trance, Delirium-Zer0 and cloudwalking! If I'd made a guess, it would have been for M Above & Beyond as the most popular/well-known Ayu trance song since it has its own PV.
