Mmm. alterna... alterna..
My first reaction was 'Who is that white person?' Should've guessed it was Ayu. Anyways, as the PV progressed I got a feel that ayu really has a grim vision of her future.. I mean, discarded in the garbage? :\ I really hope she's not all >] and secretly evil~ :3 She can be a little evil, but still be cute :33 I love this PV's strong messages and the song just intensifies them~ :3 Zeo

its similar concept to "real me", but i believe it much better. Very finely crafted. no random dancing its much more artistic, presented thru the play of french cabaret Visually its much more staggering I am impressed ![]() ===================== SCENE I: Hopes to be a star "Congratulations. You are the Stars!" SCENE II: A Sweet Trap "A girl goes to city" SCENE III: Stage of Brightness "A singing machine" "Best Hit!" "Almost Human" .. huge fans outside .. a marionette SCENE IV: "Copy Factory" .. reproduced and reproduced SCENE V: "A garbage dump" "Finale of the Stage" The singing style really match the PV.. with all the pauses each 'scene' and build-up music For the crazy paparazzis and tabloids, i bet they will be using this PV to say "yes see, ayu realises that she is going downhill. its the end of the career yadda yadda" .. but i still got faith wt mr max matsuura

the pv was okay. not exactly my cup of tea, but after all the song is "alterna" so you would except something weird like this right? i think her message came across really well
just one thing that scared me though...the ayu singing machine. when it first came up i thought she was naked. then i noticed the attached arms o__o. |

This PV just blew me away! It's excellent, artistic, different, suprising, and fun. Just what I needed. Some people think this PV is too scary, but I don't get it, this is nothing in terms of scaryness (if you can handle clownes that is!)..these kind of PVs need to be created more often.
Not to mention the song rocks ![]() Quote:

The PV is awesome. The song is amazing.
The PV for "alterna" is shocking, crazy, weird, sick, disturbing, different, even scary. But I think it's her most powerful, symbolic PV ever. I think that this PV reveals a new side of Ayu nobody have ever seen. We are used to her cutesy image. The darkess we've seen was from the "ourselves" PV. But "alterna" is 10000 times darker. Not only dark, but she's really letting her feeling out. The whole concept of the PV is amazing. I love the theme as a play. Very artisy, very original. Creative. This PV, to me, is about herself. She first became this "star" and dying to be popular, and a singer. She soon became this singing machine because nobody took her seriously. The company tried to replace her with the copy factory. Then soon dumped her. Basically, this is kinda her story in some level. I love this PV. Very symbolic. Shocking, it's really different from anything she has ever done before. And the song itself is incredible. Also, the clown are quite scary. I think they symbolize the company, the media and so on... Anybody thought the end was weird? The little boy trying to take a look at the little girl's bottom? LOL.

at first glance, i thought the white girl was madonna... she'd really look like madonna in this clip... ayu's no longer cute innocent girl now... she's started to act rebellious like what madonna has done years ago... imo... ^^

i think this PV reflect entirely about ayu's life.. from her becoming a singer from jus an innocent girl. immediately after she became big.. the music company just treated her like a machine to earn more money. and when she grows, the music company tries to produce more of such "machines" and finally ayu was replaced. she was dumped but the spirit is still there as we can see she is still singing and alive at the rubbish chute.. the 3 clowns were bigger in size than ayu. this represent that the company took control over her.. my interpretation ahhaha..
and anyway about the boy peeping the girl's undies, i thikn it represents the fact that such stuff are the demands from the audience? or maybe this just shows the negative effects brought by the media industry over the years.. ??? |

whoaaa.
i think it's totally awesome! i really think it reflects her life and how hard it is to become a superstar. everything from wanting to become a singer from pressure from her record company. i like the song too. but i gotta listen to it w/o the video.

That PV kinda creeped my out a bit. When she was in all white she looked like Madonna. I guess the main clown guys are supposed to be avex and the doll making machines where trying to make a resemblence to ayu to trhough ayu off or sumthin. It was REALL REALLY WEIRD.

The video is indeed extremely different. Yea it has similar elements of previous PV's, but its an entirely new creation. It sorta reminds of me of videos that Rob Zombie, TooL, or even Modest Mouse would do (Or listed earlier, Franz Ferdinand). IMO its a great video. Shocking, yet interesting. And for what it represents, I think it was portrayed perfectly. Such a creative idea to show how things really are.
As for the song. I love it. I think its *******ing awesome! |

hm i guess i'm late on this, but i am quite impressed.
the song was way way way way better than fairyland, and it just may be on my list of "one of my top favorite sognS"..and the PV itself, wow. it's along the lines of OURSELVES!!! i am so glad it's not standin around looking weird like "aobut you" and "game". of course it was just expressing how she felt like a product being sold, and getting thrown out in the end, and she did it in the..best possible way in my opinion. the video is pretty much incredible and theres nothing negative i can saya bout it (other htan YOU ARE THE STARS). i don't understand how people can "hate" it and "love" her other (more boring) stuff. this was very well put together in my opinion. bottom line, this pv was the bomb. the song was the bomb. i wasnt even expecting ihalf this much from her recent releases. EDIT: some people arn't getting the synopsis and i thought it was pretty much obvious so heres my view (THE RIGHT ONE )The pv is a story of an artists's career. Ayu is discovered and "goes tot eh city", etc. Her career is like a circus cause it's ridiculous, people trying to control her, etc. everyone is like a puppet being manipulated by the industry. she is comparing herself to a "singing machine" that the company is using to make money. her whole career is on a pedestal for everyone to view like a show. It gives me nightmares.
Seriously, it does. But anyways, when I first saw it I immediately thought along the terms on what jerms said. [though i read his synopsis after watching] and it's a very [obviously] surreal PV with many deep meanings behind it although the main idea is what jerms said but yes,It gives me nightmares. Oh and, I LOVE the song...although there is a lack of a bridge -le sigh- the altered bridge-like chorus satisfies me enough.
