Yeah, I would've prefered STEP you or Pride or Heaven.. or better yet alterna! oh well, that's the final decision, us whining about it won't make a difference.

fairyland seems the most appropriate for the event. I think the subject matter of HEAVEN is too depressing for some people. She probably feels that fairyland is more her song anyway, since she didn't write it specifically for a movie. Either that or she can't sing it good live, which IMO, she can't.

wow, actually some of the songs i know are pretty upbeat. but Ai is performing PLANETARIUM, so I'm not sure what exactly the theme is...

a bit unexpected (I thought she would perform HEAVEN or Pride, Will would be great but not really possible) , but I like fairyland so I wouldn't mind Ayu performing it at Kouhaku ^.^

This year's Kouhaku's songlist was by a popularity vote. So yup, I think fairyland was selected. I went back to hear my fairyland single again and seriously, it doesn't sound that bad as people make it out to be. Very beautiful PV and the song's not bad and really summery.
