this is a fanmade poll with results from the FANS. sure, it's fanmade, as stated before, but it's still a poll that the FANS voted on. sure, maybe oricon or cdtv or whoever handpicks their voters, as asongforxx stated, but they wouldn't just go find old geezers or hermits or hobos to answer their poll. they'd pick FANS. this poll's the same. it shows results from the poll that the FANS voted on. the results are ALWAYS FAN-BASED. so what if ayu's 11th place? that might be cuz of the craptastic single known as glitter/fated. or maybe talkin' 2 myself didn't impress many people, as indicated by the sales. that doesn't mean that this is rigged or that the results were made up. what, you think that oricon and cdtv make up their poll results scientifically? It might could be the reason that Ayu is almost the eldest singer of the list,
so and you all know that Ayu changed her style of music and got more mature.

Ai Otsuka or BoA e.p. are still very young.
Namie is in the same age of Ayu, but her style didn't change, or? (Don't know, I'm not intersted in her that much.)
The Japanese may don't like the adult way.

Some people don't have a life and can only make themselves feel superior by insulting someone popular. Same goes for people who vote on who's the most hated artist or girls who throw fits because somebody dates one of the Johnny's. A lot of celebs in Japan had worse due to someone rumored to date them. Bet a load of them are ugly and miserable anyway
