Your all time favorite Ayu song

Difficult choice. TRUST or For my dear or RAINBOW, for me.

I've been listening to Ayu since the very beginning days when the first two songs were new and not so popular. She was just gaining steam as a fashion leader and charismatic idol of young people. I remember seeing her living her life in earnest in the PVs and thinking, "Something is different about this girl..."

I cannot choose between the two of them. Her first album will always probably be my favorite, even though I am a fan of just about every song she's done, including her newest stuff. But the oldest stuff is the truest to me. The lyrics are what get me, and these two songs have lyrics that will live on in my worldview for a long time. I really empathized and connected with her words in TRUST, talking about trying to touch one's true self and the solitude and reflective qualities of For my dear.

RAINBOW is, to me, about reaching out and connecting with oneself, something that is probably the most important in life. The PV really tells me who she was talking about in the song. She sings to "you," but she is singing to herself. This is the way I hope to be able to speak to myself in my life. It's no easy feat, but it's necessary to live honestly and authentically, I'd say.

So my three songs are my favorites because of their messages. But I also like the vocals (I miss the early Ayu vocals a lot) and melodies. But, as I said, I am pretty much a fan of every song she has released. What a prolific career.

Pride (really loved this song, I enjoy listening gospel, and it really fit the song)
rainy day (a very beautiful ballad of Ayu which I love, the live was awsome)
Marionette (so awsome, loved all, the PV and song)
Sparkle (hated the PV but loved the song, how could they put such a PV to the song which was awsome)

Memorial address is always the one that pops into my head when someone asks me what's my favouite ayu song.

Even though I wouldn't say I have a "favourite" song by her, Memorial address is a song that I have such an emotional connection to. I barely listen to it because it just effects me so much.

I could compose a list of all my favourite songs by ayu but it'd be impossible for me to decide I love just about every song by her <3

Hmm, that' so hard. But from the time I started liking Ayu, about 2 years ago, until now, I have not gotten sick of No way to say, Endless sorrow or M. Other songs I've liked through certain periods then get tired of, but those songs never ( ).

It's the first song that I've heard in my life that really pierces my heart and seems to be like some life story or something. It's also the first song with a PV that I bawled my eyes out... it just holds a really special place in my heart.

My favorite song from her is definitely Dearest. It's just so hard to put into words how much I love that song. Dearest is just almost perfect to me. It's one of the first songs I heard from her, and it really means a lot to me. I watched the PV just a couple of months ago (I don't know why I watched it so late, though...) and it made me love the song even more. I hadn't read the lyrics before that, and there was English subs in the video, so I read them with watching the PV at the same time. They really did amaze me. Dearest's lyrics are just so beautiful and in some kind of way they're pretty personal to me, too. They make me cry. The melody of Dearest is also just so beautiful, and when I hear the first tunes I stop to listen to the song. I'm pretty sure I'll never get tired of that song.

Very difficult! There are so many Ayu songs that I never get tired of listening to. But I'd have to say SURREAL is my ultimate favourite. I love the haunting feeling it gives me and the pv is my all time favourite ever.
