Yeah I was thinking about that too. That part got me a lil P.O'd Like you can tell the performers that had nothing to do with Ashlee's performance worked real hard. Like, if i was working my balls off you know, to do that kind of thing, id hate it if at the end everyone boo'ed.

Most likely though, I know everyone there knew it wasn't at them, that it was at her. Also yeah her band must be having a rough time with that. I know that they actually play their instruments, and that is something to be commended on. I think that in the near future, if it continues, her band members will either tell her to get her act together or there will be a change in players.

Yumikoi: Yeah theres some rappers that are pretty good, not alot, mot a handful I can name off the top of my head that separate from the ususal. Outkast is good, Kanye, Eminem, hes alright. Alot of underground, low key rappers are good, but the sad thing is the media only plays the same 6 or so of the same thing and it influences everyone else that "In order to get the shiny rims, the hoes, and the money, thats what you only have to rap about"

Well, what's so completly sad is that songs such as Ashlee's "La La" and a WHOOOOLE bunch of those rap songs are all about sex... and for a country that is outraged by Janet Jackson's breast, it shows how ridiculously stupid we are. *le sigh*

On something sorta kinda related--- while at work yesterday there was a kid following his dad around. Kid was maybe... 6 or 7 years old. Singing "Drop it like it's hot--- baby drop it like it's hot." Belive me when I say my eyes were wide in shock.

Oh- and about the dancers and everything--- from what I saw, they did a good job. I mean-- hey! They learned their routine using the pre-recorded, glossed up and make-believe Ashlee Simpson voice. So they at least got spared from listening to her sing that bad all of the time.

And the band--- well, they DID chose to play with her, right? If they really wanna stop getting booed, they'll leave.

The Top 40 is composed almost entirely of rap. I have nothing major against rap, but it's just the thought of how its conquered the mainstream, that makes me uneasy.

The US is not the epitome of crap music, let's be honest. A lot of the US mainstream music may be crap in our eyes, a lot of it may be crap even when considered subjectively, there's a lot of brilliant music coming from the US as well. Writing off the entire music scene just because most mainstream acts suck doesn't seem like the best idea. US pop isn't holy, nor is Jpop. There's bad sides to everything. I could name a hundred brilliant bands and artists right out of the top of my head, no problem.

Just because the US media doesn't pay attention to them doesn't mean they're not around or that we shouldn't listen to them. Our local media probably pay no attention to Jpop either, but we all listen to Jpop here.

It's not that the US is the epitome of bad music, every place has bad music heh. It's just that we're one of those countries that people from other countries consider "big, powerful and cool" so the entertainment from here spreads everywhere. Just like I bet everyone in Japan knows who Britney Spears is, but not very many here in the US know who Ayu is. It's not that we have a lot of bad music, it's just that it spreads and everyone hears it, and that's what causes a big effect.

Anyways, Ashlee's stuck in a pretty hard situation. As of now, she can either continue "trying" to be an artist, and receive negative comments from everyone~
or she can give up after all that's happened, and be laughed at. "haha she sucked, she was a fake!" and blah blah and then be talked about forever.

I kind of feel sorry for her NOW that she's failed more than once. But then I don't get how she even dares to compete with her sister. She knows she's not an entertainer, she hasn't learned to be one yet, and she still goes and competes, probably only pushing herself to a mental breakdown because people don't like her. All she's doing for herself is putting herself in the spotlight. Everyone's gonna know her as- "Oh Ashlee Simpson! You're that one-hit wonder chick. Man, that performance where you did the hoe-down was hilarious. The whole world is still talking about it? You looked so lost XD Anyways...I'm a fan of your sister's, she's so beautiful and awesome and do you think you could get me a chance to meet her?!"

I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for her.

Having been part of a performing arts program for four years I have met a lot of people with an abundance of talent for singing. To think that they may never get a chance to persue their dreams while this girl is running around stinking up stages because her big sister is famous makes me ill.

Ashlee may like to sing an perform but that doesn't make her good. Her stepping on stage and up to a microphone with little, if any, vocal training shows how little respect she has for what she "does". I wouldn't dream of singing professionally without training. Her jumping off stage when she hadn't even sung her song shows she has little respect for the audience, and shows how little experience she has. Since she has a famous big sister and her own reality show she has been given opportunities that she doesn't deserve and that she can't handle. She took the easy way to fame, it's costing her, and it's her own fault.

ashlee simpson is just a no talent hack. american music isnt really that good, the mainstream isnt good at all, its all a bunch no talent hacks who got there because of someone's popularity or from disney. americans like the idea of talking about sex in songs but if someone showed a titty then they get offended kind of stupid. i dont like ashlee simpson just b/c she spells her name the way i do.

As much as i hate her, i actually felt sorry to see her getting BOO'ed by the audience. It must felt bad and worst of all, the band got boo'd as well, i'm pretty sure they worked their ass out for this. Let's just hope Ashlee knows her flaws and end her carreer and go back to college.
