Ever since I saw the video I got just one interpretation: The video is a critic to child prostitution. That's why you see all the confused/hurt prostitutes and the children's toys. The white stuff represents the milk that children drink and the semen that... you know. I think is really cool that Ayu stands up to that kinds of absurd of our world.

I would think the toys represent innocence. A time when the prostitute was carefree, with no worries, though child prostitution is a possibility.

I guess the crosses mean innocence, purity? And the pink is a sign of childhood I guess, since girls are sterotyped to like pink. xD

Well, there have been several times when the lyrics of her songs don't necassarily fit the PV.

I was just wondering what everyone's interpretation of the white liquidy-stuff is in this video...I thought that maybe it was a symbolism of--given the sexual/prostitute theme of the video--male...excretion, if you will...

I think that it looked like a cream kinda white paint or something, if you know the lyrics, i think it's representing two things.
I think it represent the one: she's falling for and how they couldn't meet, but her love is still overFLOWING inside. And when they do the reverse of the flow so it looks like the white stuff is goign away, it's showing that she wishes she coudl go back but she can't since after they reverse it, it flows again. Two: it's representing how she wants to be pure, and wants to be tender, and etc, etc. Th prostitute thing is representing pretty much the lyrics, "Why sometimes we hurt each other? Why sometimes we check each other?" Or at least that's what i think. And also how she doesn't really knwo him but she still loves him since prostitutes don't usually know who the person they are doing...are... But after a while she began to know she didn't know him much at all. And still, the white paint stuff or whatever was still flowing(love). That's what i think, i could go through the whole video and what i think it is, but i have to go like really soon so maybe i'll edit this post.

i don't know if it's an actualy substance such as semen. it probably just represents an emotion as a whole, such as being trapped, feeling drowned by the other person, etc.

i also didn't realize all the symbolisim the first time i watched this pv a few months ago. the equal armed crosses represent male and female unity [i think it's a pagan symbol but i'm unsure] and when the girls shatter them with the guitars that would of course represent that the unity is broken.

that makes me think that the white stuff isn't a thing like semen but more of a feeling of being overpowered and limited.

My theory is, the white thing has no meaning at all, just that they needed some sort of theme to the whole video (the white comes out through pipes, from the top of the screen) and something that looks pretty effective (the dancers splashed with the white, Ayumi 'washing' her hands with it). That's probably why they used it. Kinda like the 'chocolate' in Moments PV.

I love how Ayu distances herself from her subject matter in many of her PVs. She acts as the muse, a sympathetic spectator, commenting on what she sees but unable to affect the world. Notice how only the other girls have direct interaction with the men, how she blinks in and out when the men aren't there, how she sits atop that chair fiddling with the white stuff while the girls get totally washed by it, and especially how she blinks in at the end and looks contemplative.

So my first interpretation was that it's semen because of the prostitute motif. However, I felt compelled to search for another interpretation because I wondered if Ayu would use such a symbol. I noticed that the same white stuff flows down over the nostalgic anime scenes, which have white backgrounds. I think a strong interpretation can be that the white fluid erasing the anime memories is flowing into real life and erasing it too. I think it can represent the overwhelming force (which many posters have discussed in this thread) of the relationship which destroys "the good times we had together." The white stuff in the anime scenes' context adds a third possible identity, the background color of the animation washing it out. Perhaps the white color of the fluid in the real life shots is designed to be a reference to the animation.

Was that chocolate in Moments? I totally thought that was dark blood. It looked like she was a dying angel...

No, but perverted stuff and semen being displayed in a music video are way apart, semen is kinda overboard i think. Perversity on anime and what not is humor, but that wasn't a humorous video. Although, i see what you mean, i mean, look at Koda Kumi >_<.
