Vinneh: Not gonna address the plastic surgery thing. I'm one of those people that thinks she's had it (on more than just her eyes), but since that's not based on anything more than my eyes, and not on anything in text, i'm not gonna go into it.

About the surgery thing;

I think that if she has had it, wouldn't we have known already in the 7+ years that she's been an artist? :\ Don't most people usually get discovered by then? :\ Oh well xD

Asian artists seem to have more staying power than American artists who seem to have scandals and flops all over the place for the sake of they get into the mental attitude that because they're famous and they're -that- artist they'll get away with it. Other than that, paparazzi are very hard-working scum and Ayumi seems to have a very solid staff backing her (the HK shoots where they sent out a decoy lookalike so the paparazzi would follow her off to someplace so the real Ayumi could travel in peace? Don't see that sort of thin happen too often). The only thing people seem to love more than an underdog take the lead is to see the top dog trip and face plant and while her music may sound more like a cat with a hairball, there has been no real major scandal concerning her image.

Having a smoke and a drink in a gay bar. Who cares? Normal people do this all the time.
Breaking up with Tomoya and latching onto a new fellow in NYC? Outlandish rumour-mongering with nothing but misinterpretation by "witnesses" for evidence.
Refusing to bow to the Taiwanese princess? Again tabloid nonsense.
Pregnancy watch #03824? She's too tiny, a bun in the oven would be obvious.

Only the first thing I listed is actually true, the rest are just sensationalist prattle.

^it was actually the THAI princess as taiwan doesnt have a princess. as for having a smoke and a drink, ppl dont care if she was over the legal age; but if she was underage, then there would be scandal brewing

Yeah, her first drama was Twins Teacher. Not sure what that chinese name is, I've never seen it before.

this is what i heard. He used to get girls to sleep with him to get parts. When it all came out ayu never commented on it and her entire pre-avex stuff was pulled from her site. I dont think she did though, she just seems to clever

Yeah, she was a rebellious teenager (another reason I'm sure she smokes, and i'm also sure she probably started before it was legal for her to, though she wasn't huge at the time so she wouldn't have been all over the news about it like aibon was), but if she was put off by max i'm pretty sure she didn't sleep with a director to get a part. Don't know for sure, but I doubt it.

could you do the Ayu-Namie feud? I remeber hearing about it at AS.

They were saying that Ayu backed one rapper and Namie backed another something like that. But the whole thing seems kind of stupid since they're friends, and its a dumb thing to fight over.

yup! that's the chinese name. i only have the chinese name since mine's a chinese book. there's plenty more of ayu info there. i know a lot of there.

It was rubbish and I didn't have to look closely to know it, don't particularly care about the details. Tabloids were trying to make a big deal about her smoking and drinking since most people view pop stars as angelic beings of light and flowers who would never do something so base as have fun at a bar. The whole hubbub about "Does she smoke?" is due to that she doesn't advertise that she's a smoker, people lap this sort of nonsense up.

I remember reading about when Ayumi was still attempting to be a swimsuit idol, she wouldn't pour drinks for the manager and play dolly to him like the other idol girls did. She couldn't stand having to act that way to get anywhere in that business, hence leaving it.

There is no real proof that it exists same for other supposed feuds. I had originally posted an article from the MDN Mainichi Wai Wai section that supposedly talked about a feud between her and Namie, Ayumi calling Namie a "monkey" in reference to her debut with the supermonkeys and Namie replyign that Ayumi was a "make up monster." Mind you these were all, "so and so who were working at this one show they were on overheard them talking about it!" Also sources were quoted from other tabloids.

When a tabloid quotes another tabloid about something "someone happened to overhear," it's time to raise the skeptical flag.
