What do you miss about the old Ayu??

omg, I wish Ayu fans would stop talking about the "old" Ayu. She never changed. She`s still the same. I mean it`s not like she jumped from cute and innocent to ero-kakkoii Koda Kumi style. She`s still cute and innocent with a bit more flavor added to it. Can`t y`all be happy for Ayu?

I listened to LOVEppears today and I have to say: Just listen to older albums and you will feel the joy of old school Ayu. This way it's easier to accept the changes in her music and appearance because nothing stays the same for eternity *old&wise*

I pretty much only miss her old music videos, which were classy, meaningful (well not always, but still) and had some kind of concept. Return Road MV was cool, but I guess one music video wasn't enough. Sorry how beautiful you are MV lovers as much as I love song I can't say that I like MV that much. And seriously first Shimomura with his Dynamite now Timmy with his 'amazing' hairstyle. I love all Timmi's contributions on Party Queen and I DO think he's talented guy, but do we really need to see his face in MVs & booklet? I don't.

Nothing. The old ayu wasn't that great in my opinion. Maybe some of the videos but that is it.

I miss everything about the past ayu.... It's sad to admit but I have to say that she's much worse now than she used to be

And most of all I miss how careful she was about her music, the videos and the image. Now it feels like she cares only about concerts. I don't think she takes a big part in her PVs and music as I am hugely disappointed with NaNaNa/Shake It! pvs and I was really disappointed with ANother song's arrangement... it all could have been much better....

I want to say her that if she doesn't like to do the excellent thing, she'd better go away and don't spoil that perfect image she gained during her peak era.

I wasn't around then, but it's old Ayu that got me into her.

Her style, pretty much. She always looked so badass in her shoots. She had this really cool style that was everyday but alternative too. She was sometimes glamourous, but it was still a bit edgy.

Cutting your hair short and wearing black doesn't make you rock or edgy. It makes you like every other person trying to be rock. She looked better in the M PV in jeans and a plain top than she has in this entire short hair phase. She rocked the short hair then.

^ So true. I remember when I first saw Secret and I thought, "Jesus F'n Christ! This woman makes exactly the type of music I've always wanted to hear." And now, I feel like most of her songs are fillers, or the same: Verse - Chorus A - Verse - Chorus B - Instrumental/Quick 2-line Bridge - Chorus A & B.

I missed before the intros for songs and she brought a lot of that back with Love songs, which makes that album so special to me, but overall, she isn't really writing anymore. There are no Free&Easy's or RAINBOW's these days. We get the occasional song that makes us happy, e.g. BALLAD or Last angel or Virgin Road, but she really hasn't been making a noticeable effort like she used to. I don't care if she copies herself, I just want the Ayu who makes good music again.

Also, I'm glad that the PVs for PQ were not as boring as prior PVs from Ls. But I really think Ayu needs to do more than cry, bend over, walk or stand around, and sing to the camera. I don't care about dance moves, but stories made her older PVs amazing.

I hope she just does who she is, not this trying-to-have-a-hit-again stuff. People really signed off from this awhile back. The last actual Ayumi album was GUILTY. Everything since has been noticeably half-hearted.
