Probably unlikely but I wonder if they are the same Ayu x Shuya in the 'Days' PV. Ayu's character seems to be the heartbreaker this time around.

^ Haha i can totally see this : Shuya from Days PV broke Ayu's heart and had a child with the girl he bought the ring for, then Ayu and him lose contact. Few years later the child has grown up, Shuya broke up with the girl, he and Ayu meet again during summer, Ayu at first doesn't want to be with him but she ends up falling in love with him again only to find out that the child is his and she doesn't want to be his new mother because Ayu doesn't want kids, she prefers to love them from far away.

Weirdly I feel comforted that it's Shuya lol. I guess all those years with him in her videos has conditioned me haha. When he spins around with his arms open I thought he was going to break into dance haha.


As for the stars, I think it's just to help draw attention to their hands, which keep touching each other. I can guarantee Ayu fans will have those all over them at a-nation. Including me. I'm buying them when I go to the U.S. for vacation lol.

The song is quite good, better than expected honestly. It comes off as very fresh although it's nothing new for Ayu, the composition is just beautiful.
The video is the same ol' thing we've gotten a couple of times already, but i didn't really mind it since Shu-ya is the love interest again and i missed that!

I've thoroughly enjoyed watching this PV! Although I kinda wish it didn't have to be a short version...because now all I want to know is why Ayu & Shuya are so upset & what happens at the end of the PV. But speaking of Ayu & Shuya, they absolutely make the most sweetest couple in this PV & I just loved watching it so much! Hopefully I'll love it even more once the full version is out.

Also..."Summer Diary", as the song itself, is just lovely. Such a perfect song for the summer, I love it so much!

Similar arrangements are not that bad, but when melodies start to be repeated, then there might be issues. It is just one song after all and for Ayu even if there are 20 songs with very similar arrangements, there are 20 others that sound completely different.

the thing is when artists find their sound, especially the ones that have been on the scene for decades, they usually stick to it. I could name you a few who did that. Some of course end up falling into the "what's popular" and adapting to that.

It actually sounds much fresher for me than anything she did lately, it has this very very old sound of hers to me which makes it very nice. It makes me think of No Way To Say, when i hear the intro. The melody is very nice.

I gave up on one of my fave male musicians because he does so little nowadays, and when he does it sounds the same. Compared to Ayu he seems to be a lazyass now. And Ayu still gives me something that just doesn't let me give up on her. I don't know. For some reason this whole thing was giving me good wibes since we got Step by Step pv.
