Okay you guys need to give the thread starter a break..don't need to be so harsh.

Anyway if you are telling him/her to get a life, tell the Asian media to get a life too. Because they have also jumped into making comparisons between Jolin vs Ayu and Jolin vs Madonna. They even commented in an article 'no we didn't post a wrong picture of Ayu for this review of Jolin's album..it's really Jolin who is trying hard to look like Ayu' *unfortunately I don't have a scan.

If you already know this thread is about Jolin vs Ayu and know it will annoy you, don't click. if this has happened once or twice, concidence - yes. but it can't be a coincidence when there's over 10 examples of this copying. true we can do nothing about Jolin but this forum is opened for discussion isnt it.

actually the cover reminds me more of BoA's my name album rather than ayu..the messy hair and finger at lip thing.

bulmasman: theres a picture of Ayu wearing the exact same hand accessory as the one Jolin is wearing. ayu wore it first. i can't find the pic now.

Most of the people that say such harsh things towards Jolin are biased Ayu fans.
Go to a Madonna forum and see what they say about Ayu copying there.

First, I really doubt she will ever really write her own songs.

Be a jolin fan and think she's not copying, or don't be a fan and think she is. That's up to you. But why people keep thinking these threads are actually productive is beyond me.

And if my fave singer admired some other singer I'd automatically be interested.

Actually no. Visit sites related to Jolin and you will her see fans SCOLDING ayu for copying her. Actually pretty similar to the scenario here..just that to us it's clear who's the original in most of the 'coincidences'

Probably they're biased and rabid fans of Jolin who and need to grow up. A realistic fan would know who imitated who and not go around blaming another artist for something they did not do. Jolin is a fan of Ayu and if her fans do not respect this choice of hers I must say they're rather immature and childish.

I've seen some really idiotic stuff like when Ayu wore a flower they compared it to JLo wearing a flower and said she is copying her. How more idiotic it can get?

Plus many times pop stars have worn the same or similar outfits. Like Namie's latest single cover is the same dress as Shimatani's in Garnet Moon. Namie, BoA and Ayu once wore the same white cap. Ayu, Jolin and BoA have wore the same UK patterned shirt once too. And BoA and Jolin wore a similar outfit once. It seems that artists do not mind copying each other.

I think Jolin is more like inspired by Ayu. I have never seen her wear the exact same outfit Ayu does. And I stess exact except of once where she wore the exact same gown. Usually she just wears similar stuff or simply some costume jewellery.

The only thing which ticks me off a bit is the pv which she obviously copied and the Fly High single episode. Yeah maybe Jolin has no sense of originality, I donno but after all they are singers. What they're selling is music. Singers only care if it affects their sales, I'm sure. If Jolin did copy Ayu's music then that would be a problem. But she doesn't so I don't see what is all this fuss about.
