Artists you wished would just stop...

I like Yuna Ito. Her vocals are simply angelic. The biggest problem though with her is that Sony mainly seems to be keeping her stuck into one genre - emotional ballads. They tend to get boring after a while and the listener ends up feeling that he/she is listening to the same song. Which is a pity with such beautiful vocals.

Well, I'm not referring to all of the singers who have nasal vocals, for instance some of them are pretty good and can make their vocals distinctive from the usual "cute anime character-anime music" vocals because they add unique elements to their vocals: ayumi hamasaki, Hitomi Yaida, KEIKO, shiina ringo and others (I prefer these vocalists over several american pop divas whose vocals are considered magnificent) , however a great part of the singers fall into the usual anime cliche vocals, in a way you'll admire the songs more by their compositions and instruments rather than the vocalist skills. The fact american music is crowded with "X-tinas sound alike" and "black divas" wasn't the focus of my comment (american music is american music) and I was referring to japanese music. Japanese music isn't crowded with singers with clean powerful vocals and a good range - Yuna Ito is producing JPOP not american pop. Had the JPOP music been crowded with people sounding like her, than yes, she would just have been another lost shadow.

TOPIC: The only thing ashlee has to her favor are nice lyrics here and there because she certainly doesn't have an attractive voice, but I doubt people are going to stand her if she keeps singing stupid "fun" songs.

uh..not really, because I hear it all the time, and I could really care less. I love Ayu and her music, but if someone wants to waste their time bashing her, let them. It's their problem, not mines- I'm still going to keep supporting her, I have no problem with Ayu at all. Lecturing people about "how great someone is" when they don't think so, doesn't get anywhere. It's certainly not going to make them change towards liking them just because you say so, and you just look like a fool in the end, trying to force music or an aritst on someone when they don't like it. It's good that you look up to someone so much- hey if it makes you happy, then good But you know, ranting about how everyone talks **** about someone doesn't get anywhere, like I said. Just be happy that YOU enjoy that artist's music. Don't worry about other people disliking them, they're the ones missing out, not you.

Hilary does sing live at her concerts because I went to one. I bought tickets ahead of time and then my BF won like 8th row tickets and she was amazing! Ask anybody that has been to her concerts before - she does sing live for her fans. Just like many people say that Avex sometimes dubs over Ayu performances, that is what they do to Hilary sometimes...
