I usually don't judge previews but.. omg.
Ayu's voice sounded so low at the beginning, like when I'm singing at karaoke . And during raps or whatever they are, the music goes too much fast so she sound like in hurry. Her vocals sounds quite good but the arrangement it's so cheap.

If she will gonna include this cover song in her next album, I hope it will be a bonus track or a ghost-track at least.
As I said I don't usually judge previews so early but I don't like what I heard. I'm still looking forward the full song though.

lol the TRF cover sounds like it could be on Nothing from Nothing.
i don't get why people are so pissed and losing hope for the new album because of this song tho. it's just one of those lame covers she does every now and then.

I can't wait to hear how a Timmy ballad sounds like. I don't think we can expect 'something' in particular since BRILLANTE is the only reference we have xD

And as 'Happening here' is been released digitally on iTunes I wouldn't expect it in the album... She decided to cover it as tour theme song one year ago for the original HOTEL Love songs, so it doesn't have anything related to the new album... I hope! xD

Timmy has a certain sound though I think. I think BRILLANTE showed a lot of growth from him, but he used to have a music video on youtube as well and honestly, it reminded me a lot of BRILLANTE. to me it seems like he does darker and more mysterious sounding songs.

i also have a song of his in iTunes called "song for a friend."

plus on his youtube channel he has a video of Canterbury Te Deum (which makes me think of the chorus singing in BRILLANTE) and he subscribes to EWQLTutorials. anyway, i guess we can kind of get a feel for his style, even though we don't know for sure what his new songs will sound like.

EDIT: actually, i found clips from Tim's EP "Waiting For The Sun" and if you listen to them...i think that even though the release is older, you can definitely get a feel for his style! now i'm even MORE excited!!!

Waiting for the Sun is not bad...i can kinda see Ayu singing that. It has that very j-pop melody.
btw is that him singing?

(the other songs are kinda...meh...lol..and Akatsuki totally has that BRILLANTE thing going on)

I am glad that ayu is getting another drama tie-in. It's to bad that it's an adult drama. Does anyone know if the one for sunrise and seasons were tie-ins for adult drama??

They were pretty much standard dramas.

I just meant that it was an 'adult drama' in that it seems tailored towards an older audience than usual. I guess we'll see how it does! It's also billed as an 'adults' youth drama (大人の青春ドラマ)'.

It might have something to do with the English being sung alongside Japanese? I thought her White Christmas was pretty good.

It’s been revealed that Hamasaki Ayumi will be singing the theme song for the upcoming drama, “Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi“.

Set in Kamakura, the drama follows actors Koizumi Kyoko and Nakai Kiichi, who play out an adult love story. Hamasaki, who agreed to take part in the OST after reading the script, commented, “I wrote a song that will bring warm feelings to anyone who listens to it.”

Her song, “how beautiful you are“, is a medium-tempo ballad that describes the feeling of gratitude towards someone.

This is Hamasaki’s first time in two years and five months since she last sang a theme song for a drama. Her last OST contribution was “Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL” for the TV Asahi drama, “Dandy Daddy?“.

Producer Wakamatsu Hiroki commented, “She created a wonderful song that has both kindness and sadness interact within a mature atmosphere. It’s perfect for the drama’s image.”

“I will be happy if people of all ages can sympathize with the song,” said Hamasaki.

“Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi” will air every Thursday night from 10:00 p.m., starting on January 12th. Hamasaki’s song is scheduled to be distributed in February.
